Kanye West Defends R. Kelly

Since the premier of the Lifetime documentary 'Surviving R. Kelly' there have been calls for his record label to drop him as well as artists removing their collabs with Kellz from the streaming services.

In his last weekly Sunday concert series Kanye West seemingly defends R. Kelly....

During his set Yeezy told the audience,
"They want the art from the artist but anytime they do anything erractic they just gonna pull up full documentaries on him. Then they gonna come with the Michael [Jackson] documentary. ... We can all enjoy all their music all we want. I thought I wasn't going to go there today. If we're gonna tear down artists, let's go ahead and take [Leonardo] da Vinci out the Lourve. Let's take down all the art."

He's a celebrity so I get why they post what he says BUT I just dont any reason for anybody to give a fuck what he says anymore lol. Almost as a non event as his wife being naked on social media

Everybody can't do it. I can deny the MAN, but I am listening to the "art". If anything, I'm listening more intently to try to "decipher" what was really going on in this man's head. If you don't want to do so you have that prerogative to not listen. However, everyone knew what was up for with this man back in the early/late 90's. Now, it takes a documentary for you to decide what you're gonna do? That' ain't news...it's late and tired of all this fake ass outrage and now people want to drop their two cents and give opinions when they've collected a check from a track and worked with him and looked the other way. Anyway, they're about to drop a documentary on Michael Jackson and I be damned if I'm cancelling (sp?)him. Mike and Robert really don't belong in the same category, but soon to be released doc on Mike will not me stop listening.

They can do all the documentaries they like on Mike but I will be damned if I will stop buying or listening to his music. I grew up listening to his music

8:40 spot on. If you were still listening to R. Kelly after you knew he married Aaliyah at 15 then you are a hypocrite. Now people want to condemn him as if they didn't know what this man was about. It's a joke!

I have yet to see anybody who didn’t fuck with R Kelly still support his music Lol the only Muthafuckas that still listen to him are niggas who don’t give a fuck about what he did at all. It’s Music over their own Black women’s safety.

And another thing, ain’t no music in the world that fuckin good to turn your back on your own people. Black folks are truly a fucked up nation of people and wonder why they are at the bottom. Hell gays got more rights than you smh

What do you expect to hear from a brain zapped, soul sold mad man like Kanye. Him and his wife of Babylon are a, o. k. with sexualizing their up and coming future ran thru Nori wtf they got a tive year old posted all over the net with red lipstick, high heels, lace sun dresses, neck collars and all of the cheetah MK beta sex kitten wear one could image ????? Kim will be right their filming this kids first encounter while this fool stands there charged up. And aint nobody gonna say or do a damn thing because the $$$$$$$$ will be rolling in for the next generation.

Kanye should've been canceled a looooong time ago but y'all Black folks keep giving him a pass because his momma died (...10 years ago) or because he is supposedly mentally (which he uses constatntly as a get out of Black Jail card whenever the Black commnuity flames or roasts his ass for the continued B.S. he says and does). Y'all gonna let this go too. I'm still going to bring up Chrisette Michelle. She is still exiled and Black people still hate on her for performing at Trump's inauguration. Meanwhile Kanye has been a far bigger coon and far more problematic over and over but y'all still support him.

A couple songs I can stomach like The Worlds Greatest. But Im good with that I don't see nothing wrong bumpin and grinding lil girls and keeping them from even calling their parents. Not my taste. Was never into Kelly anyway. Seems like your ready?
