The Lifetime documentary 'Surviving R. Kelly' sparks criminal investigation in Georgia...

From TMZ
Sources connected to the case tell us the Fulton County District Attorney's Office has opened an investigation into allegations made against the singer in "Surviving R. Kelly." We're told the probe was launched over the past few days as a direct result of what 'Surviving' depicted.

Cool.

While they're at it, investigate those grimy ass parents who introduced their daughters to a known child predator. If you think about it, the girls probably don't even listen to this man's music. He's old school to them. Sad all the way around.

Bullshit and pure optics. So you mean to tell me the Georgia DAs office had no interest in following up on allegations or opening an investigation before this show aired? So his antics were the best kept secret in ATL before this dropped? FOH! I swear! Aint shit gonna come of this because I don't know what possible charges they can bring against him that is directly related. Sex trafficking maybe. But without substantial evidence I see no point of this. All these women claimed to be of age or their parents consented so where's the crime? Let this man suffer his consequences the right way -- through karma and God -- which I sincerely hope he will. But all this showboating is useless and I'm sick of hearing about this shit already.

After watching the doc, it seems like these girls wanted something out of r Kelly whether it be fame, fortune or security and in return r Kelly wanted control over them. Nothing was wrong with them mentally and physically when they met him. Besides self esteem issues, r Kelly basically became an opportunist . This sex cult shit isn’t even really clear to me cause the sex was all consensual. None were raped, and all were free to leave. As a matter of fact, on the doc, one of the girls left lol.

I’m not cool with r Kelly fucking Aaliyah tho or underage women now that shit is a no no and pissing a baby too. It's fucked up.

And to add to my point, the idea that someone woke up and said, oh we saw Surviving and was appalled reeks of lies to me because victims have been crying out for years. SO WHY NOW? What's the endgame to all this outrage now, as if this is some new awakening? Shit don't add up and I just smell something real funky is going on.

I have been saying the same thing @7:26.
What really tipped me off were the celebrity participants. None of them speak a word for 20+ years and now they want to start apologizing?

This is not his first tape - RKelly has a tape with Gary Sheffield's wife. He dated her as a teenager too. Deleon was a child star in Chicago. There is more than people know. Other celebrities know. He has a sickness! He needs to go to jail NOW! Arrest him and lock him under the jail. He has no peace and sleeps in the closet. All truth! You ain't getting away this time. #timesup

Get him now while he is young and not Bill Cosby's age. I don't care that it's 20 years later. He was still responsible for the girls who he said he'd help with their career. If Sparkle's niece was as talented as they claim she was he could have built his artists. He mind f&&@ed them girls too. Let's not get this twisted. He used his power and influence to do what he wanted.
We know what the problem is and we don't admit it because of his talent.
I say go thru with the criminal charges. Hopefully these ladies will speak up. Instead of bashing them we should be supporting them.

Besides possible statutory rape charges what else do they have. These girls went to him willingly, and some want to stay. I believe they can walk away if they want like the young lady did on the show. I know it's not right but a lot of these young girls are looking for a sugar daddy, and most of them are doing more sexually than someone twice their age. Some of those parents handed those girls right over to him knowing his reputation since the 80s. They can't act ignorant of it because they were around in the 80s, and I know they knew about him and Aaliya. When my daughter was growing up I wouldn't even leave her around church members, and some family members. They wanted their daughters to be another Aaliya, they wanted fame and fortune, and it was obviously at all cost. I just can't fathom leaving my young daughter with R Kelly knowing his reputation. That's why I felt no sympathy for Sparkle, and some of the parents, because they were hungry for fame and fortune.

As the national dialogue heats up about this legacy issue the question keeps popping up: How could this have gone on for so long? Simply put, black people don't value black people. His team, the children's parents who traded their children for hush money, entertainers who worked with him, black media outlets, his record label, BET (honored him a few years ago) and legions of stans and fans completely overlooked his egregious and criminal behavior because black folk value money, fame and status. If Kelly would have perpetrated this heinous act on one 14yr old Becky he would be doing 20 to life! And NOW all the righteous indignation. I guess we can call it the Weinstein effect. Everyone knew, but no one acted because they were making money and staying relevant.

What many fail to realize is that R. Kelly is a predator. He preys on the young, vulnerable, single mothers, children with little to no adult supervision. He also preys on those parents who want their children to make it into the music industry. His tactics are not new, and they are not unique.

He grooms the parents and the young women. Its a process, none of this happens overnight. He seals the deal by engaging them to recruit and interact with other minors making them accomplices. Its a mindfuck of epic proportions.

Parents who protest, he reminds them of the money that they took from him for their child. Females who protest, he reminds them that they brought in their friends and also participate in the other person's abuse. That guilt trip will shut them up.

So, those who saw that they were all of age, lies. They all knew, what they were in for, lies. No one is prepared for the mental abuse that goes along with the coercion into this type of dynamic.

The community of enablers who watched from a distance and enabled R. Kelly and others of his ilk should also be held accountable as well. No one should get a pass on placing young people in harms way.

R Kelly really is an idiot if you think about it. He has a stable of women, some talented that he does nothing with but screw & inflict physical & mental abuse. He could have set them up to have their own careers and reap the rewards with them. Instead he's added to his liabilities, both financially and legally. Lost tons of money in so many ways because of his sexual & perverted addiction, signed away his publishing and is the scourge of R&B. But hey...karma continues, and God is not through with him yet.
