R Kelly Threatens to Sue Over Lifetime Documentary

R&B singer / songwriter R. Kelly warns the Lifetime network to pull the plug on their unauthorized documentary 'Surviving R. Kelly' or face his wrath...

From TMZ
Kelly's lawyer, Brian Nix, fired off a legal letter -- obtained by TMZ -- warning the network that its "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary is packed with lies. Nix threatens to file a federal lawsuit Thursday -- the same day Lifetime's set to air the special -- if the network doesn't relent.
Lifetime's 6-part documentary will feature, for the first time ever, people from Kelly's inner circle coming forward with new allegations that Kelly has sexually, mentally and physically abused women.
Kelly's calling BS ... saying the subjects made false allegations to become famous. What's more ... Kelly says he has 2 audio recordings -- 5 minutes in duration -- that show Lifetime knew "some of the girls are lying, but that the budget was too high to turn back now."

So because he's always been a perv it's all good now? Tell that to the judge in the Bill Cosby case & go have a seat 2:03pm.

2:03@ 4:33...reading is clearly fundamental and it's obvious you fell short in this area. Didn't I say Drea needs to be thrown under the jail with RKelly too? I didnt say he didnt need to be held accountable. I am side eyeing these folks that allegedly saw him sexing a child and doing other shit as well. They didnt speak up then. They turned a blind eye to the situation. But a documentary comes out, getting paid to particilate and now you want to vomit at the mouth. Plus, a young lady has been dead nearly two decades and you wanna drag her? Who speaks on her behalf? C'mon now, that aint right. He's did some shit and needs to pay up, but some of these latest allegations are not even on the up and up. He been a predator for nearly 30 years. These people not living under a rock.

Kids have been getting raped with witnesses for decades. Look up the Jerry Sandusky scandal and let's not forget the Catholic church. Unfortunately, it happens all the time with people that have "celebrity" status.

but Blacks will still support him because he makes good music and he's abusing and raping black females. Trash ass negroes.

He said himself in the documentary they should have got him 30 years ago!

I have a question because I'm confused. When he was married to Drea I know he was still doing pedophile stuff so did it bleed into his married life and did Drea know about it?

For those who keep saying that women have never come forward against R Kelly, this is simply not true and you are talking out your ass. Many young girls DID REPORT the abuse to the police, and even though he wasn't indicted for the charges (maybe because he had them sign NDAs), he always made the decision to settle out of court.

Jim DeRogatis a music journalist and professor had been investigating R Kelly for over 20 years, and have helped some of the young girls in their pursuit of justice since 1996. Read this NY times article about the investigation before stating that no one came forward until now. It's simply not true: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/10/arts/music/rkelly-accusations-sexual-assault-history.html Then after the video with the girl was released, he was indicted by a grand jury on 33 counts of child pornography (but 12 were later dropped). Just think how difficult it must have been for other women to come forward after this case even though there was a video and evidence to indict him, but was found not guilty.

It doesn't help when music industry, their parents, and even us as a community have turned a blind eye to numerous allegations. After seeing the documentaries yesterday, I see how he was able to manipulate young girls from very poor communities and yes, looking for a come up. As an older man, he systematically exploited them as sex slaves--period. And then making parents believe that he was a mentor to them.

I think he's gotten away with this for so long because he could be recruiting girls for a larger undercover sex ring--why are so many young girls from Chicago are missing? It's a speculation, but something to think about. This dude seems to be in a state of arrested development--stuck in adolescence where he was rejected by high school girls when they were his peers and as an adult wanted to always be in a position of power.

Don't worry. It's coming.

GiGi, HELL YEAH DREA KNEW ABOUT THAT SHIT AND PARTICIPATED. Are we to believe all the shit she says he did to her and not believe that she played her part like all the other Kelly Slaves did? Her crying ass did nothing to help anyone but herself all the while procreating with a pedophile.
