Issa Rae Shuts Down Engagement Talk

Last month actress Issa Rae sparked engagement rumors after sharing a picture on Instagram Live with a big diamond ring on a certain finger.

Issa shuts down the conversation after her co-workers confirm the news...

After Issa's Insecure co-stars Yvonne Orji and Jay Ellis told People Magazine they were very happy for Issa and that they both found out about her engagement in different ways, Issa posted on Instagram," I didn't announce s**t."

They are really shoving this coon down our throats. I'm not buying what she's trying to sell.

Yes she did! I guess she forgot about her appearance on the talk show The Real where she clearly stated she was engaged and that she met him at her college homecoming. And she made it a point to say that he is a few years younger than her. She even bought the photo to the show where it clearly shows him proposing to her on a roof top.

I swear these celebrities be doing the most just to stay relevant smh!

7:19 - Why don't you go an buy some damn humanity or at least some decency...to call that woman a coon? But then, again...you are on a celebrity website talking about her...instead of the other way around...

So...there's THAT FUCKING FACT!

7:19 You know what? I think I'm feeling your sentiment. It's something about her that does not seem authentic. But hey, I could totally be off the mark. I thought I was the only one that felt this way.

Hey y'all, Issa's assistant is up in here @8:53
Issa is winning but she is no ally to #ADOS so that makes her a coon and a cancelled coon at that. Meaning we ain't buying what this she-coon is selling.

Yea. She rubs me the wrong way. Her arrogance & sense of entitlement is off putting. We are not usually that mean to each other as black woman friends Her take on friendship is disgusting.

'That's funny because I couldn't find anything to confirm she said that on The Real or anywhere else. She's one of the few black women onscreen that is unapologetically black. Very disappointing to see her be called a coon because she doesn't fit your narrative of being a black woman. In a era where most black women onscreen are whitewashed she stands out beautifully as a nubian queen.
The coon comments is uncalled for. Not everyone is a Lupita, we all are beautiful.

Why didnn't she find herself a Chinese to marry? Did she coerce or pay this "fiance"?

7:19 she's not my cup of tea either, but I never got coon from her. Y'all gonna have to find another word to use. Coon is so overused.

@10:57...yeah 7:19 one of Dr. Sebi's tricks. They view the world as 'coons' vs. 'baking soda'

I'm happy for her success as a black woman but this chick is super annoying. Plus, she's kind of homely to me.

I can't stand these arrogant, feminazi, "black girl magic" chicks.
