Social media has folks feeling like they know you when they don't. How about a simple "hey I'm a fan of yours, can I take a pic?" rather than just taping folks without their permission.

^^^ Exactly. I don't blame Offset at all.

Thats a real person and at that time he didnt want a camara in his face. Now he should sue them for using his imagine without his permission. Kim sue the people all the time for using her pics.

^^^ that's all good & well, but the LAW states that NO ONE, celebrity or NOT, has an expectation of privacy in public places, THEREFORE can be FILMED, PHOTOGRAPHED, etc. And this LAW was PASSED under the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION...the president you DUMB @SS SHEEP were soooo in LOVE with. Get out of your feelings, stop PERSONALIZING every damn thing and WAKE UP to the CHESS GAME that is going on. #SMMFH

^^How old are you two? Ya'll delusional if you honestly think it's ok to go around smacking folks cuz you don't like something they doing. You don't need anyone's "permission" to film them when out in public...famous or not. Practice self control and keep ya dam hands to yourself PERIODT!

This fool and his foul mouth ho need to be stopped.

damn, so surprised by those top comments...this kid was in a store with his video camera out, in a store, Offset doesn't own the store and he was so fucking arrogant he didn't even ask the kid to stop filming, he just took the hood route...yeah, this shit is legal and remember that, it could work for you if needed...but don't be dumb and watch what you do in public, you are filmed so many times a day without your knowledge...gtfo, only in private spaces can you dictate what others can do!

Offset is a true ghetto, savage, uncivilized Neanderthug married to a filthy, gutter wild hyena hoodrat. Both he and Cardi are animals and they are truly some of the ugliest looking beasts in the industry. They are bottom of the barrel scumbags. Both need to be shot with tranquilizer guns and dragged back to the zoos where they escaped from.

Bottom line....Offset had no right to destroy the young man's phone. If he had of apologized and bought him a new phone, I bet charges would not have been filed.

^^^^ exactly

How old am I? Old enough to easily pay a fine for something like this. Legal or not, you better be careful who you film without their permission. Ain't nobody here for that kind of shit.

First off, this man is in a public space. When you become famous because you pursued fame, this comes with the territory. It's a dumb move because, that's one of his supporters who streams his music and buy tickets to his shows! I don't see him in his personnel space, he timed it right and caught him as he was walking out. Offbeat actuallt leaned in and slapped the phone! All he had to do is chunk a deuce and keep it moving. His arrogant, ungrateful ass deserved that L!

No one is owed the personal space of a celeb they respect. I've seen people I liked and asked to get a pic and they said no, and I've seen a local celeb who I liked and she asked me to give her a moment while she was talking and she talked to me for a long time when she was ready. I don't give a damn if its legal, its still tacky and selfish to assume that just because someone is famous means they don't deserve basic respect. I'm not famous and I'd be salty if some random person came at me like this, I'd lose my shit too if someone came at me in my down time. And the fact is that if you want your expensive ass phone, keep it out of my face.

He's an IDIOT how does he think he can go to any store or public place and not being photo'd or recorded? He will be charged and it's only a good thing stop glorifying Uneducated Ghetto Actions. Again he's the fool why even go in Target and expect special treatment?

If he doesn't want anyone recording him in a public place, maybe he should keep his ass in the house. Problem solved.

He's an idiot, if his black ass didn't want to be filmed in public, keep yo ass home and send one of your lackey's to buy your crap.

That's not how the real world works though. Its called the price of fame. What you think, he or any other celebrity, black or white, get to have their cake and eat it too? Oh I get the legions of fans that make me rich but no no no leave me alone unless I want to bothered? Nope. If you win the mega millions tomorrow and you live in a state where you cant be anonymous, yeah you rich now but you damn well that new found fame and fortune are gonna bring headaches as well. Its a trade off. You playing what ifs but aint about that. Yes I do not understand some of these fans and how they feel they DESERVE access to you just cause they see you in public, but its up to the celebrity to handle these interactions how they should handle them.

It's ok, Cardi will get to the kid and offer him money to drop the whole thing like she pays off the blogs that constantly catches her ugly husband cheating.

All this slapping fans, and slapping phones, why not just say when fans do that "Thanks for being fan bruh, but im running errands for the fams, have a good one" and keeping it moving? This way you don't end up getting sued, and atleast you retain the love of your fans. Rachet ass fuck.
