Nashville Forced to Acknowledge Lil Nas X

Back in April Nashville famously congratulated Billy Ray Cyrus on Music Row for reaching no.1 on the Billboard chart with the Old Town Road remix, while conspicuously omitting any mention of the song's creator Lil Nas X [click here if you missed that].

As Old Town Road cruises into its 10th week at no.1 Nashville is forced to correct their mistake...

Mabye it's me. They need to re-do the banner. Billy Ray's name is in bold font. Little Nas is not. Little Nas is in the corner with the background looking dark.

Maybe it's me. I have a marketing background and notice tons of public relations, advertising and media/print/ fails.

Anyway, I hope Nas is working on his next single. He should pick it very carefully.

They did it on purpose, just like they previously congratulated Billy Ray Cyrus for the No. 1 without even mentioning Lil NasX. They aren't trying to be slick, they don't GAF about us and they're pissed this lil negro has the audacity to invade country music. But they're forced to acknowledge him #ShineBlackBoyShine
