She is an excellent actress. However they could not find an American actress to play their actual ancestor? don't none of y'all Africans run up on this blog @me today, I got time. While I will probably see this, I feel some type of way.

LMAO @11:29 You got time today hahahahaha!

THANK YOU NIYA! There are plenty of black American actresses that could've played this role. Hollywood doesn't want us to get that spiritual connection with these roles and the subsequent uprising, so they get these black immigrants with no connection to play the role. I will not watch it because it will be whitewashed anyway. I'll stick to Hidden Colors 5.

And these Africans know good and well they call us all types of Akatas, Barrias etc. but they quick to want to bring their asses over here benefitting what MY ANCESTORS died in the fields to build. They talk greasy about us and think they are better than us, yet can't wait to come and get our goodies. They can sit all the way down. If it wasn't for us fighting for immigration and civil rights, they would be in their own dusty ass countries they are breaking their necks to flee. Notice how we aren't flocking to their countries. There. I said it.

R in NYC says:

I won't be seeing it. After 12 years a slave, I'm good on slave movies. There's more to our story than slavery. How about a movie about Madame C J Walker the first self made female millionaire in America? That I would love to see.

I don't make time for slave movies or films about the help, but I'm here for this. Looking forward to going to the movies to see this.

LFrich, Cosign to the 9th Power. I used to check for their asses till I found out how racist and elitist. I understand the indoctrination and divide and conquer that was used on various nubian groups, but it's been long past the time to move past that shit.

They picked the best and most suitable actress for the role. FUCK y'alls entitlement.

I'm just glad they didn't cast Zoe Saldana, Zoe Kravitz, Zoey from Blackish, Zendaya or any other Zs for this role.

LFrich is PRESSED.

LFrich said...

How am I pressed? I just stated facts. Just because you think y'all are "WINNING" and better than us because the Democrats prop you up ... don't think white supremacy won't break their tools eventually. See Ilhan Omar.

Many centuries ago, people from various countries were taken from the continent of Africa, and sent to the US (amongst others). These original Africans proceeded to reproduce and give birth to those now known as African American/Black American/ADOS (whatever you want to call yourselves)!!

Common sense would tell you that we share ancestors!!

Ultimately, we (Africans) birthed you (Black Americans)!! Why else do you think Africa is called "the Motherland"?

Nubians populated this entire planet, not just one region, while we are indeed one race called Nubians, we did not only just originate from "Africa" they have found the bones of Nubians all over this planet, y'all didn't birth nobody stop that fallacy, Africa and the entire European continent was at one time all one land mass, stop acting like y'all the parent race of all Nubians, get out of here with that mess.

So they got a Hamite to play a Israelite woman? Lol uh okay 😒

Anonymous said...

I will not be watching. They always pick a black woman that was not born here in Amerikkka. They want to rub our noses in their mess. Fuck them and this movie.

12:36pm We'll see if the best actress can fill theater seats. Will all you African born folks show up to make it a hit??? The black folks born here in Amerikkka are not buying what she's trying to sell.

Ok So in the midst of your president wanting to send everyone non-white back into the bowels of oblivion and over due reparations, y'all xenophobic asses worried that another BLACK actress is getting work that she deserves? (She from England btw not "Africa")
You amerikkkans- so hard pressed.

I'M WATCHING... 20 TICKETS
cause i'm afrikan and i can afford it
So mad everyone else doesn't buy into it.

i'm not a slave-watching woman anymore but i will see this. and i will be just as proud for this actress as any black woman.

Good girl, now get in line to get your pat on the head.

Try as you may SHE'S still is not a black woman born in Amerikka. She is a Foreign born black woman with a British accent. If she is so deserving of acting roles let her stay in England and compete over there. Foreign born black folks will not replace us black folks born here. They never have and never will.
