I saw the video. It has gotten 2 million views already in 14 hours. It’s cute but I don’t see it as noteworthy. All the new girls are just copying stuff that’s been done before and then say they’re “paying homage to the legends.” That’s BS. She is better than Ciara and Teyana whatsherface tho, but we shall see...

11:47 everyone is inspired somebody. Name me one artist that is truly an original. When Michael Jackson and Prince perform I see remnants of James Brown, 'Lil Richard and others thru them. This still doesn't take away from their greatness. Come again with something else...When I see this chocolate doll I can see Bey; a touch of Janet. Keep pushing Normani! You are great and can definitely hang with the best of them. She's fire!!

If as much effort was put into the production/lyrics...

@1:47 pm she’s talented but I agree with 12:37 that the lyrics and production are elementary level. It sounds more like a demo tape than anything else.

There’s also a video on YouTube where the break apart the video and explain it and the scenes are directly taken from a list of artists right down to the choreography and costumes.

Nothing wrong with paying homage but she was clearly Motivated by the Queen Jezebel herself. Why is all that dutty whining even necessary when she's obviously a talented dancer? I'd have a lot more respect for her artistry if it didn't involve her simulating sitting on some random dude's face. On second thought, no. I don't respect her art. The song actually sucks. It's not catchy at all.

One thing I can say about Aaliyah is that she brought the sexy without being overtly sexual. So a lot of these up and coming artists could learn from emulating her style instead of trying to be the next Princess PoomPoom Pop-A-Lot.

The song was good and catchy to me. and the dancing was good, but not every dance moves NEEDS to be a twerk ass shake. There are different moves.
