Boondocks Reboot Coming to HBO Max

Back in June actor John Witherspoon let slip that The Boondocks animated series was returning to TV [click here if you missed that].

Now it's official....

According to reports HBO Max just placed a two season, 24 episode order for a "re-imagination" of the original Adult Swim animated series "The Boondocks."

Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder is returning as show runner and executive producer.

The Boondocks premiers on HBO Max in the fall of 2020.

Fun Fact: All 55 episodes of the original Boondocks will also be available on HBO Max.

Sidebar: I wonder if that includes the infamous Tyler Perry episode [click here if you missed that].

I'm here for it! A-Aron used to bring that fire and the real so I can't wait for his satirical take on the current political, social and entertainment climate. Fools about to get ROASTED!

I don't see this being as funny or as impactful as the first round. The world has changed and things that we once found funny aren't funny anymore. Plus some creatives tend to get stall or stay stuck in time.
