Kobe Bryant Shames AAU Squad

Coach Kobe Bryant raises eyebrows with the tough stance he took against his AAU team after they came in fourth place...

In a post on Instagram Kobe calls his team "winners" with quotation marks and an lol, singles out four players for not working hard enough and actually shames one little girl for going to her dance recital instead of playing in the championship game.

Fun Fact: Kobe Bryant has over 10 million followers on Instagram.

R in NYC says:

Kobe probably wants a son so bad to follow in his footsteps.

@ R, I know right!!!! It's probably eating him up inside that he hasn't made a boy yet. But Shaq got two! Lol. That's probably the universe working his ass over for his dirty deeds in 2003.

This dumb muthafukka. They are little kids, they are not professional athletes. They don't have to be there its not their LIFE. Cut the shit. Look at the misery on the faces of those little girls.

^Don't they though? Not one real smile. The White lady looks especially pissed, despite their participation trophy.

DAMN! KOBE WENT ALL THE WAY IN ON THESE WHITE GIRLS AND THEIR PARENTS AND I LOWKEY LOVE IT. These parents pay big money for their daughters to work under Kobe Bean Bryant so they are getting what they paid for. He is not here to give them cute fodder for their Christmas cards (Emma had a great year! She played on Kobe Bryant's AAU team ...) and bragging rights at the country club. HAHA! He is making them put in that work or they can get OUT. That's how a champion is made. Too many kids want to be coddled and spoiled in every aspect of their life ... especially in sports where everyone is a "Winner." Kobe is just giving them an early taste of what the real world will be serving them in 10 years. #kudoskobe

Okay, LFrich, you just broke it down. He's a winner. He wants to win. Yes, they are girls. Yes, they are young. But if you are going to play competively then you play and you put in the work. AAU folk are usually competitive. They see scholarships down the line. Could he have said things more tastefully-probably. But we live in a world where you can't say one thing to hurt these kids feelings. We have a wimpy generation. One stern thing and they're being bullied. He better watch himself. Somebody may be looking for a payday. I wouldn't get caught alone one second with any of them. My brother would never LET his daughter win at anything. I thought this was harsh. He wanted to teach her to do her best, and outsmart her opponent. When she won, it's because she did that. Life lessons.

I don't think any of these girls wants it...why did their parents put them on an AAU team??
AAU is no joke, here in Northern Cali kids like this play for the Catholic Youth organization, no pressure, easy games and no one gets but hurt, trophies are only given within the team, best shooter, blah, blah...
I'm surprised his AAU team looks like this, AAU is hard ball
