Last week Instagram announced they are going to begin hiding 'likes' to "take the pressure" off using the app.
Rapper Nicki Minaj calls out Instagram for hiding their true intentions....
In a post on Instagram Live Nicki Minaj explains how Instagram first changed the algorithm to stunt the engagement of Influencers who use the app to reach potential customers and are now removing likes purely for profit. Nicki goes on to explain how advertisers will now be forced to go directly through Instagram for ad sales cutting out the Influencers with millions of followers who contributed to the popularity of the app.

In the past, Nicki how many folks bags and/or profit have you stopped? Behind the scenes, you've been a monster. When you're the victim it's another story and the world is suppose to stop? I have no sympathy for bullies and strong-armers. Go somewhere and enjoy this new chapter of marriage and start on that baby.

^^ So true on both counts. When a complete stranger tries to influence how you spend your money and gets upset when they can no longer influence you, that's a clear sign of how lost our society has become.
Maybe Nick didnt get the memo, agencies don't trust 'influencers' much anymore. I'm a marketer, and the research that's come out says that the public dont trust influencers because they're hip that they're paid to make suggestions. Agencies feel manipulated because so many have inflated their numbers with bots or dont come through with their endorsements as much as they say they would. I'd say in about 5 years the 'influencer' scene wont look anything like it does now. These (non)celebs are going about to have a big change to their lifestyles, and rightfully so.
