This week Public Enemy frontman, Chuck D, kicked Flavor Flav out of their iconic rap group after Flav sent a cease and desist letter to the Bernie Sanders campaign after Chuck D performed at a Bernie Sanders campaign rally [click here if you missed that].
Flav rejects the notion that he could be fired....
In a recent interview Flav explains,
"Chuck D doesn't own the group by himself. He just owns the name. He can't fire me. I'm not his employee. Never was his employee. Never will be his employee. I'm just his equal partner. It's not Public Enemy when Chuck D is by himself. It's Public Enemy when Chuck D and Flavor Flav comes together. The false accusation was, "Public Enemy will be performing for Bernie Sanders," and that wasn't true. It was only Chuck D and whoever he has performing for Bernie Sanders."
To be clear,,,.@MrChuckD can use fake reality tv stories as fact & get who he wants to sign a document, but I've been clean for 10 years & there is no PE w/o Flavor Flav,,,I'm worried about you Chuck,,,you can divide people or bring people together,,,y'all know what side I'm on pic.twitter.com/BCjGHHEDgq— FLAVOR FLAV (@FlavorFlav) March 3, 2020

He's not kicked out, he's just not part of Public Enemy anymore. He just won't be invited to any upcoming and future performances. And he can't use the name.
I have always seen him as just a mascot for the group anyway.
THAT'S FUCKED UP @ 9:32 AM.. SNICKERING
Flav looks like a corpse in that picture. At this point in time why does any of this matter? Flav been MIA chasing women and doing reality tv anyway.
He was always the hype man but a vital part of their presentation.
I hope they can work out their issues.
