R. Kelly's Original Sex Tape Victim Files for Bankruptcy

Back in 2008 R&B singer R. Kelly was found not guilty on child pornography charges after the alleged victim refused to testify [click here if you missed that].

In an interesting turn of events, apparently the original victim filed for bankruptcy shortly after R. Kelly was arrested on new child pornography charges last year...

From The Blast
R. Kelly’s original alleged underage sex tape victim filed for bankruptcy months after the singer was locked up on new charges.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Kelly’s victim, who we will not be identifying by name, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy after experiencing recent financial problems.
The victim who was at the center of Kelly’s 2002 criminal investigation was the underage girl featured on the infamous sex tape. A couple of years after the tape was allegedly filmed, police started investigating the singer after being sent a copy of the tape. He would be indicted on 21 counts of child pornography, but the alleged victim refused to talk to law enforcement and went silent....
On July 12, 2019, Kelly was arrested on federal charges relating to child pornography and kidnapping. The victim’s bankruptcy was filed on October 22, 2019 in Illinois federal court.
Based on the timeline; the now 35-year-old victim started having financial issues immediately after Kelly got locked up.
