Most ppl dont understand that addiction's are a mental disorder type of disease. Some are more successful than others.

I don't know about all that beautiful at her worst shit. I wish people would stop posting her at her worst though.

This is sad beyond words. I had to do a double take to make sure that was her.

Many people have tried to help her. You can't help someone that doesn't want your help.

she suffers from schizophrenia - and when you add drugs into the mix it only makes it worse smh... But like someone above said, you cant help people that dont want to be helped.

She was just there. She was not drag racing. Everybody knows that she has Mental Illness. This shouldn't have even been posted.

The sad thing I've learned in recent is that if the person affected really doesn't want help while under a 72-hour hold, they can be released. They can also opt to have their records blocked from family members that may be caring for them.
You may be reading this and saying 'duh' but a recent event has me shaking as I type. An immediate relative was admitted on the advice of an ER nurse. When they broke out the first time, the hospital put their foot down and said either return or we're sending the police. So this person complied.
I guess because of COVID, the Dr. felt this person did not need to stay longer. However, he recommended that family or a close friend be notified of what's really going on and how to approach the situation. This person chose to block against the recommendation. There's no other family around and this person went back to doing whatever (and this includes drinking), so I've washed my hands of the matter.
So as far as Maia is concerned, maybe GA healthcare is better than Cali in that respect. She just has to take a step forward and keep moving in the right direction.

4:14, I work in Georgia, and it definitely isn't better than Cali. My sincerest apologies for your struggles, but the unfortunate thing is that you truly can't save a person that opts to do what they want to do. Folks will have spouses, kids, parents, good jobs, support systems, all of that, and still opt to go down a treacherous path. In the end, all you can do is pray and let them know you'll be there whenever they get serious about turning their life around.

Her mother was a noted author Bebe Moore Campbell who wrote a book called “72-Hour Hold” in regards to her struggles with Maia. Sadly her mother died in the height of her addiction, which made her stay in a mental spiral! Sadly her dad is a noted or was a famous architect too! This is sad! So sad! LL Cool reached out over a year ago to get her help and we thought she was on the come back after “Fix My Life” a few years back! Sending prayers of healing strength for her!!

@ 4:54 Yes LL Cool J reached out and she told him Don't call me, I'll call you. She didn't want his help. That's unfortunate because LL would have got her some quality care. I have a cousin who is a life long crack addict. The only help she wanted was an SSI check so she could keep getting high.

Only The Most High himself can save her. These savage niggas in Georgia don’t give two fucks about her. They’ll exploit her and drug her up until she’s dead.
