Chico DeBarge Busted with Crystal Meth and Heroin

R&B singer Chico DeBarge arrested on Meth charges in Burbank, CA...

According to reports Chico DeBarge was pulled over with two passengers on January 13 for driving at night with no headlights or license plates. Chico also didn't have any ID and told officers that he was his older brother James.

Officers found crystal meth and heroin after searching the singer and he was taken into custody, where his real identity was discovered, and charged with drug possession, driving under the influence and impersonation.

Chico made bail 10 days later.

That poor tortured soul. His disgusting ass parents are mostly to blame. I dont know where I would be right now if my parents were that sorry and pathetic. I hope he finds peace at some point. I feel so sorry for abused children who turn out this way.

Generational crackheads, just sad

This entire family has demons that they just can't shake due to the abuse at the hands of their parents.

At this point, we can't blame the fucked up parents..We can not change the situation we were born into but once we acknowledge, confront & address the traumas then we can begin the healing process... Sad to hear not 1 pf them was able to break the cycle...prayers up

Chico was actually spared the physical and sexual abuse his older siblings endured. His addictions started much later in life way after his prison stint. After he was almost killed by a small time mafia connected thug.
Snitch didn't even do a post when Chico's son was murdered on the streets in L.a. last year. So much trauma and tragedy in that family. I've met Chico on 2 separate occasions. He's a wonderful, gentle soul with amazing talent. I'm sending well wishes and prayers for his recovery and battling of his personal demons.

Lord it's a generation curse. When he found out his homeless son was killed in the streets that must have made him feel even worse.God help us all.

Addiction is hereditary. This family was so talented. With recovery you can live a clean and sober life. You have to want it bad enough to recover.

I've had some problems, and no one could seem to solve them.

Their mother should have never bred in with that racist, now you got this terrible ass generational curse on this bloodline. They need to see a shaman and get that curse removed like yesterday, or they are all going to succumb to that generational curse, of that cursed krakka in their bloodline. I can't imagine his pain as a fellow Cancer I feel his pain, but those spiritual generational curses must be removed, all this unnatural death behind drugs and violence lawd!!!! They need a ethical honest Mambo or a qualified Shaman, and not no five dollar indian shaman either, they ain't got the keys to unlock those portals and remove those generational curses. So much talent and pain in that family. There is so much work to do to cleanse that bloodline, they better do it for the next generation, don't be like the Kennedy's who obviously didn't believe in generational curses.

@RinNYC I too met Chico back in the day when he was a solo artist. He was a fine, talented and energetic young soul with high hopes of making it big. I recall how he was a prolific songwriter and producer of his own music. In fact, I still have an autographed b/w 8x10 that he gave me. Now I am heartbroken to see that after all these years he has not been in a good place. If this is true, I pray that God will give him the power and the strength to finally SLAY that demon who wrestles with his sweet soul, Amen!

@ 8:33 I had a photo of us together after he pulled me up on stage in Atlanta. I'm so disappointed I lost the pic over the years.
Chico really loves his fans.
I read Bunny's book, the second one. I was a tad bit disgusted by all the casual drug usage and unprofessional behavior amongst her and Bobby, Randy, Marty and James. Bunny copied the same behaviors of her mother after literally catching her husband molesting her oldest daughter and choosing to stay with him.
I have all the sympathy in the world for them as their father was truly disgusting. However, their mother Etterline is slow and had multiple chances to get rid of that white devil. She also stole Tommy's money and thats why his wife left their kids with her to raise while she ran the streets doing drugs. Etterline did a lot of shady shit too. Bunny even says her mother always felt entitled to their money.
Chico benefited financially from the success of his older siblings from the money they sent home. He also ended up living with an older woman whole in highschool. Growing up entirely too fast.
I haven't got up the will to read Bunny's first book yet. That's the one with all the details of their childhood sexual and physical abuse and the father's abuse of the mother.
All of them including El are still battling drug addiction except for Bunny. El says Bunny's book was full of lies. I think she definitely glossed over a lot of her personal drama such as not knowing if she was pregnant by her husband or her secret lover. The lover was barely mentioned.
After reading the book it's no wonder Chico is messed up. His own brother used him for a drug deal that landed him in prison. He had all those kids with his estranged wife that he barely saw while they were growing up. No excuse for that. That surely led to his oldest son feeling neglected and ending up homeless on the streets.
I pray as well that Chico gets it together. His music is beautiful and soul stirring.
I want him to have a happy ending.

My heart breaks for this man, is it possible that he has experienced deep depression over hardships and losses he's felt, not to mention the unfair prison stint causing the loss of his record deal. The music industry is a demon in itself, so unfair to many hard working, prolific, talented, & handsome men and women who don't get the chance to earn their worth as artists while others steal and mimic them then make millions quickly and be set for life. Chico baby, save yourself from this desolate destruction, you're worth more than you know. You're a God!
