Tyler Perry Completes His Contract with OWN

Tyler Perry's The Haves and The Have Nots coming to an end on OWN, completing his contract with the network...

According to reports The Haves and the Have Nots will end after 196 episodes and 8 seasons on OWN.

Tyler Perry has since moved on to creating content for BET and BET+, his third network deal which began when he signed a contract to create content for TBS back in 2007.

Fun Fact: Oprah recently sold her controlling shares in OWN back to the Discovery Channel [click here if you missed that].

I really wish we had better content from our media moguls like Oprah and TP. It's a shame to have all this clout, money, and respect but lackluster content. TP can't write, direct, or produce anything of substance. Refuses to hire quality writers, directors, or producers. So, we're left with terrible writing, acting, and production smdh. Sigh.

Isn't the Discovery Channel about to launch the Discovery Channel+ charging cable subscribers $4.99 extra to watch programming we are used to watching for free????

Everything now in the age of Media Sharing is a Money Grab... There is No Way that I would pay $9.99 a month for BET+... Discovery is just jumping on that bandwagon with the $4.99 price. Before we know it all the channels will be charging something.

The funny/sad thing about TP is with age, it gets worse. I saw his Netflix movie last weekend and was actually shocked at how lazy his writing has gotten. How does a bank employee get fired from a job like they're a fast food worker? That shows zero research and the inability to make his stories believable.

It's a money grab because the ship is going down.

Medea don't like you talking about her man. LOLOLOL

The problem is finding programming that commercial sponsors will support. Greenleaf is gone. I liked that show. Iyanla Vanzant is leaving this year, if not already gone. Queen Sugar is coming back next month. But when Yt folks come on board they want to change everything that has been working and make it more Yt. So dont look for that to last.

I guess we'll hear of Tyler Perry having majority shares of BET. Now that Oprah is moving on from OWN, what's gonna happen to Queen Sugar?

^ the Yts will turn Queen Sugar into White Sugar. The White ppl will steal the land back and put us back into slavery.
