Andre Leon Talley Facing Eviction

Last year 72-year-old fashionista Andre Leon Talley released his memoir 'The Chiffon Trenches' where he famously trashed his former bestie Vogue editor Anna Wintour [click here if you missed that].

In totally unrelated news, Talley is facing eviction from the White Plains mansion he has called home since 2004...

From The NY Post

Vogue legend André Leon Talley is being dragged out of his $1 million New York home by the former CEO of Manolo Blahnik USA who alleges the former editor is $500,000 behind in rent.
New court papers seen by Page Six allege that the real owners are George Malkemus and his business partner and husband Anthony Yurgaitis, who bought the home in 2004 for just over $1 million.
Talley — who in 1988 was appointed by Anna Wintour to be the creative director of Vogue, the first African-American person to ever hold the position — responded by filing his own lawsuit against Malkemus and Yurgaitis in Westchester Supreme Court on January 25, 2021.
He claims the pair, who were “long-time, trusted friends,” agreed to buy the home for him and transfer the title once he had repaid them the $1,020,000 purchase price.

The agreement was never put in writing.

What the hell he been doing with his money? this makes no damn sense.

All those degrees (he has a BA and an MA) and still forgot business basics...get it in writing. Also, the internet lists his birth year as 1948 so that would make him 72/73. Still too damn old to fumble the bag like this because another site said he paid for repairs and renovations.

When brown nosing goes wrong.

Damn. I wish him well with all that.

@9:19. I agree plus I'm not painting let alone renovating/ repairing anything that does not have my name on it legally. They didnt like him that much. And why would they have to buy it and he repay the purchase price....his credit bad? Deadbeat, get his old ass out they house. I'm sure there is a apartment complex down the street he can put his name on a lease to

@9:16 Girl, he was buying robes! One for every day of the year and then put in a new order every time he put on weight. Sad.

@9:36. I read on another site that his personal credit was jacked. So much that the people who are now suing him had to help him buy a car at one point. You're right, they used him big time and I believe creating an image would draw more black dollars since we've been one of (if not #1) highest buying demographics in the past 20 years.

Any of his celebrity "friends" got a couch they can spare? Give him 2 months, and that's pushing it to find a new residence to call home. I can't feel sorry for people who make millions daily and never think a rainy day will come their way. I make pennies and got my umbrella on stand by for such days like now!

This is sad on so many levels. On another note, if you gon let the Devil fuck you, you gotta remember to wear a condom.

Anon I've been reading your posts/advice for years.... ABSOLUTELY - Geesh! It's just no way to teach old heads the game they profess to knowing all about.

That's that arrogant coon's karma. He looooved all them saltines he kissed up to. I feel no sympathy for him. That man made millions of dollars over the years. There's no excuse for him not having paid cash for a home in his own name. White folks eat their own Andre' Leon Tally. Therefore your n*gga ass never stood a chance. You don't like this type of teachin.

@11:24 - SCREAMING!! (I did too)

12:42 Yup! He always had this high-and-mighty attitude. You would think he would be smart enough to have a coin or two stashed away, along with a few properties of his own. I guess his black ass thought he was indispensible. Now in his 70's, this nigroe is finally feeling the scorpion's sting.
Maybe Naomi could rent him a spot on her sofa.

His ass is toooooo dam big to be sleeping on anyone's sofa. Unless you want it broken. LOLOLOL

White ppl only care about you, when they can use you for free.

He was stuck on the grandeur of the past and wasn't looking at the future. Save your coins for that rainy day. This past year has been a storm.

He wares caftan not robes. It's what rich white women use to wear in the 60tys around the house. LOLOL

Yall wrong for the Jigga Man comment. You know dam well that ain't him. LOLOLOLOL

When bootlicking goes wrong. White supremacy always leaves it tools BROKE and BROKEN. Cooning does not come with a retirement plan.

If your paying rent, your renting. If you are paying a mortgage and have a title and paperwork, your an owner. I don't think Andre can tell the reason. He has been paying rent to his "friend" for his "sanctuary"

How you a 70-sotmething fashion icon legend and you don't own your own place, much less getting evicted from someone else's? Sister Talley spent entirely too much time with his nose up Ana's butt and not enough time on his own finances.

All these comments are funny bc he is uppity. Now look at him. Let's see who will bail him out.

These comments!!! RWS folks tell it like it is...in the most humorous, common sensical fashion. LOL!!

The LGBTQRSTUWXYZ community got Andre's back. Isn't that where the money resides? Sorry, couldn't help myself. *cackling out loud*
