DaBaby Continues to Lose Concert Gigs

This week rapper DaBaby apologized for making homophobic and STD shaming remarks at the Rolling Loud Hip Hop music festival in Miami after getting dropped from DayNVegas, Lollapalooza, The Governor's Ball and the UK Parklife music festivals [click here if you missed that].

Despite his apology DaBaby has been dropped from several more music festivals...

Yesterday iHeartRadio, Austin City Limits, Atlanta's Music Midtown and KS 107.5's Summer Jam all announced that DaBaby was no longer on their line-ups, with Summer Jam announcing their entire show was canceled.

According to reports DaBaby was dropped from Lallapalooza after failing to submit a promised apology video that would have played before his set, triggering the cascade of cancelations.

Bye bye, Baby.

In this moment in time, DaBaby needs whatever is coming his way. Folks are saying it's a shaming ritual, he's being "broken" etc. He needs this admonishment and it's long overdue. Just a few weeks ago, remember he publicly shamed those kids. The same day of the rant he brought ( is that a word) Tory on stage;almost like rubbing it and taunting Megan. Right there, he was being antagonistic. He's an abuser~a repeat offender who can't keep his hands to himself. He's just a jerk that should have been called out a long time ago and it's the publics fault for letting him get by. Nevertheless, the Alphabet Mafia is taking care of business and in this case I'm not mad at them. Dababy brings nothing of value to the community or society at all. Yet, he has a pretty solid fan base. He should be able to bounce back. If not, he only has to blame himself for his pattern of bad behavior. He thought he was untouchable. Karma always comes when you least expect it....you can't just keep shitting on people.

I'm sure he's thinking about his misguided views and how he looks at people now. At least now he can spend time with his kids and DaBaby momma Dani since she pregnant.

I disagree with the backlash and feel he should be able to express his views. I'm not a fan but he is a rapper not a politician. The alphabet crew can do one! You should not get special treatment because who you want to fuck or because you feel you were born in the wrong body. He's more than likely got a 360 record deal which is nothing short of being pimped out. I'd let my label drop me and return with a new name as an underground independent artist. Never sign on the dotted line!

Fuck the alphabet mafia! Cancel Dababy but had nothing to say about Jussie Smollet's lying, deceitful azz. This is one of the reasons why a lot of straight people can't roll with that agenda. It's the selective outrage and hypocrisy. Their ilk can do no wrong even when they do wrong.

11:04 except that black people love the yt man's $$$. He don't want to be underground.

11:04 He wasn't rapping tho. He literally made a between song comment, then doubled down on it later on social media. ABC is not getting special treatment. If some white person went on stage screamin some racist comment that offended black people, you'd be cheering for they're cancelled bookings.

@11:42 And there in lyes the problem! Niggas didn't learn from the Transatlantic slave trade, did they?

He will be moving to a projects near you. He can play in the local ghetto clubs and holla all kinds negative sh*t they want care. He just want make any money.

None of this would have happened if he hadn't been trying so hard to conceal his closetness. No straight man has shit to say about gays, unless you're really pressed.

@11:04

Da Baby has every right to express his homophobic views, just like the LGBTQ and their allies have every right to pull back their money and their support. You see, you can't talk shit on a group of people who own and control most of the businesses in the U.S. Unlike the black community, who has to sit back and take it up the ass when yt ppl dress up in blackface, call us racial slurs, and accuse us of criminal behavior. We have no power and no wealth in this country, but get outraged when groups who do hold hold power+wealth flex their muscles when one of their own is attacked. As if niggas wouldn't come together and cancel every gay mfer for calling us racial slurs. The hypocrisy and delusion is strong smdh

I don't understand what the backlash about the backlash is about. He was talking reckless and so ignorant. He didn't just offend the LGBTQ+ community, he offended people with STDs mainly AIDs, and he offended women. I feel like people who are mad about it, are people who have a problem with gays. He has every right to express himself, but people who disagree have every right to express themselves in return. If someone came up in your house talking shit about you, your lived ones, or your people, or whoever, are you gonna let that ride or are you gonna tell them to stfu, or get the fuck out? It's the same shit. It just so happens that people he's talking shit about are the ones streaming his music, signing his checks and sponsoring his lifestyle. Just like any racist at burger king should be fired, so shall he. You can say what you want legally, but out here in real life there's consequences. Too bad so sad for him.

While I'm no fan of the lmnopers, as to me they are a bunch of karens. I don't like this nigga and have no dogs in this fight. One less ignorant ass wrapper running around spewing their toxic ass, mumble mouth caterwauling. The lmnopers karens need to come for their own too when they fuck up.

@1:04

Exactly, preach! We wouldn't stand for a yt performer at Essence fest saying 'fuck them niggas who got crabs & herpes!'. We'd rightfully protest his 'freedom of speech' because it demonizes us with racial slurs and an unfair attack on those living with those diseases. And just like @1:04 pm pointed out, the only ppl who are defending Da Baby are homophobic idiots who hate gay ppl. Da Baby is offensive in general and should be cancelled. Period.

@ 1:04 Well I do not believe anyone has the right to cancel someone for words stated. It means there is no freddom of speech. What this country was founded on. It is a dangerous and slippery slope to the Nazi regime. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid though... Good luck!

You guys are idiots!! DO NOT COMPARE RACE ISSUES WITH HOMOPHOBIA!! Who someone decides to share a bed with is their business. That's not a race that's a preference. Straight men are being attacked! Gay men don't have the right to cancel someone for speaking out against their sexual practices. I've known several straight men that have been asked by gay men to let them do things to them, why?? Aren't there enough gay men put there? Because now they got the power of the media on their side, and they feel like they can do what they want. This has been the agenda all along. You will see when it's your son or nephew or cousin getting hit on that it's uncomfortable for them and some will want to beat them up because of it. Gay men are fixated on turning straight men out. Now they want to turn the whole world out. Like Lil as X on BET, SHAME!

Calm your tits. If society was not such discriminating and hateful assholes to the gay's, they would not be flexing on them, now that they have some power. Every single marginalized discriminated against groups when they get power flex on all hoez. This is how humanity works, while their is an agenda being pushed by a few asshats, the majority is not cosigning that agenda and I'm speaking on the ones trying to normalize pedophilia. I'm a straight woman who get hit on everytime I go out by gay women in Atlanta, I don't get mad in fact I find it quite flattering, according to my eldest son I look like a super lesbian, because I have long waist length locs and tats', I don't know when locs became synonymous with gay, as for me it's spiritual but whatever. If any man is secure in his manhood a man hitting on him should not make him hysterical hell my 19 year old gets hit on all the time, he finds it flattering as well, you know why? I didn't raise him to be a ridiculous human being. Just like slavery never ended it was just rebranded in the way, of low wage workers who are now flexing on these billion dollar corporations who got filthy rich from employing low wage workers and working them to the bone. The wretched of humanity is having it's chickens come home to roost and all hoez will deal. Get over yourself ain't nobody wanting to turn your hysterical ass out. And if they did so what? you have a choice to tell a hoe, hoe have a seat and keep it moving.

Bottom line, DaBaby should not have been fired from his jobs. Remember when JT humiliated JJ with that wardrobe malfunction onstage? Did he get cancelled? No, he didn't. I hope that the people who are butt hurt over DaBaby's comments will agree to forgive him in the same way they forgave JT who never ever apologized.
It's 2021, we're still in a pandemic with major losses and our lives will never be the same. The selfish and entitled need another wake up call from God.

@9:42

So, should black promoters and businesses be forced to pay and hire known yt supremacists and racists? Because that's what it sounds like you're advocating by defending Da Baby's words and actions. If I have a business - or if my friends / allies own a business - and an entity or person we hire says something belligerent and racist about me, my business, my culture, or those of my friends, then you can bet your ass that I'm gonna revoke my coins and my business from you. I don't understand why black ppl are acting like they don't understand what this is about. If you disrespect my shit then I'm pulling all my resources to make sure you never make another dime! Hell, I've seen black niggas in the hood do more damage for a lesser slight. Don't act stupid, nigga, you know what's up!
