Donald Glover Sets End for Atlanta

Donald Glover's cult favorite FX series 'Atlanta' is set to return for season three next month, after a four year hiatus, and will end after season four...

From ET
The final season will debut in the fall, but an exact date was not given.
"Donald Glover and his team have shot the final two seasons of this series," FX chairman John Landgraf also shared.
"I wanted to end this after season 2," Glover said later, when asked about closing out the series with season 4. "I feel like the story was always supposed to be what it was... It really was what we were going through and what we talked about."
He added, "I think it ends perfectly... I've done television now for almost two decades. I like things ending."

He may as well end it.....the series stops and then takes forever to resume. DG is no longer committed or interested in this particular endeavor....at this point, he's just doing something

I hate that this show is ending because it was such a well written and executed show. However, each of these actors have now gone on to do big big things. That's what you're suppose to do with a great team, give them tools and allow them to fly. Congrats to the entire cast and I'm going to miss them.

This was a good show Imissed it in its absence, i'm not a big TV watcher because everything on tV is so predictable an formulaic its not worth watching. I do occasionally watch the different offerings of the cable networks to entertain myself over a long weekend or break. However, this show was well written and didn't follow the cookie cutter type format of most TV shows. It will be good to have it back and interesting to see how the characters develop and how the series ends.

Going to miss Atlanta it is a great series but I am glad we get two final seasons

As long as, as promised in the article, he has time to complete the next two seasons of Atlanta (and maybe beyond, should we wish to keep it going).

…and that he can reprise the role of Troy Barnes in the eventual Community movie.

…and maybe also the role of Lando Calrissian in the Disney+ event series.

But yeah, beyond all that, happy for him and hope Amazon grants him the freedom to create more great stuff!
