R.I.P. Syl Johnson

Chicago Blues man Syl Johnson, whose 1968 hit "Different Strokes" was sampled by Hop Hop artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy and Kanye West, has died. He was 85...

Syl is also the father of R&B singer Slyeena Johnson.

Condolences to the Johnson family.

Syleena had a chance to do episodes of Iyanla fix my life with her mom and dad.

That's Soul music, not necessarily the blues.

He is Chad Ocho Cinco's father, too.

He recorded the song 'Is It Because I'm Black?'

These are my kind of tunes. I am only glad that this talented and inspirational man's death attracted more comments (at the time of posting) than the dreadful pregnant man in the article above -

I can hear SJ tone in his voice.

I'm glad you think you know who Chad's daddy is. I don't think Chad even knows who his daddy is. But Syl Johnson is not his daddy. Wrong Mr. Johnson try again.
