No doubt Death Row Records gave us some good tunes for the annual family cookout but it's also done more than enough damage to the Black community over the last 30 years. All the money these Black men who literally come from nothing make and they stay reinvesting it into useless ventures. I seriously doubt Snoop will contribute anything positive or nurturing to the culture with this acquisition so I'll save my congratulations for something more worthy.

I "kinda agree with @7:25" but we have to be honest the right to free speech is never going to be questions let alone to correct something in the black community we but he is a mature man now and a black one. He has shown growth and has literally up set the apple cart in Long Beach refusing to get involved in fuckery but instead has created other positive outlets for the city instead of backing homies financially to corner the dope game what a young man i.e. Shug Knight does when given this type of platform we are seiing a black man of maturity and wisdom incharge of a voice for a segment of the black community in part of the community time will tell he knows the business and will if hes smart emualte the SamCooke/OtisRedding/MichaelJackson/Prince/JayZ play book I know he feels the movement and he will look out for the artist for the long term but ultimately it will be on them but he is probalby going to make it accesible for them to take some ownership in masters and so on.......but as was stated time will tell.

Agreed 7:25 pm! Blacks will never admit it but hip hop destroyed blacks. It did more harm than good. It also destroyed authentic R&B. Snoop Dogg is another problematic black man that had the nerve to publicly disrespect another black woman 2 years ago. Amazing how these mammies and n***as like to forget that because they fall for his "funny uncle" act.

The name of this record label makes me cringe as an adult. I was a kid when they were cranking out all those hits so I never thought about the negative connotations of naming something Death Row. The above posters are correct, gangster rap really has the worst influence on black culture and black music. Just let Death Row die and come up with something else.

Agree with ms mac-

Hip-hop has completely dominated black culture and black history; it demolished black pride, unity, and respect. We have raised two generations on this toxic bullshit which has resulted in more black men hating black women; seeing black women through the lens of yt supremacy. Black women are being emotionally and mentally abused via media images; being told via hip-hop (which we are credited with creating, developing, and profiting off of) that they aren't good enough because they're not: light enough, thick enough, smart enough, or "street" enough. Meanwhile, these same black puppets that are responsible for planting self-hatred, go home to their basic Becky's, badly built Maria's, and transgender looking Asian wives. Funny how black women need to represent the most unattainable attributes just to be in the same room as these coons. Whereas these coons go home to non blk women who look way worse, and have a lot less to offer, but these are the women who are inheriting hip-hop; all of its money, prestige, and access to control our culture. Courtesy of black men who took black women's hard earned money - with this notion that they would go to Hollywood and fight for us, fight for our ability to create a new generation of wealth that supports and uplifts all of us. Instead these niggas went to Hollywood and got seduced, finessed, out of their coins, loyalty, and respect for black culture.

I'm honestly at the point where I hate black men. Black women, we seriously need to remove our money, support, and respect for black men. I'm tired of seeing us beg for acknowledgement, love, and commitment to our culture. They don't care and have spent the last 40-50 years indirectly telling us "Fuck You & your culture!", Which is fine, but you don't need our money and support. Let your yt/Hispanic/Asian/etc support you. Let's see them also stick around when you no longer have black women to kick around like a work horse.
