Blue Ivy Performs with Beyoncé at The Academy Awards

Last night Beyoncé opened the Academy Awards  performing her Oscar nominated song 'Be Alive' from the film 'King Richard' and her daughter Blue Ivy was one of her back-up dancers...

It destroys the soul to hear that you're all hype, that you have no talent, and that your whole career has been contrived.

Beyonce did NOT win the Oscar!!!

Keep begging, lying and cheating to get that Oscar win. It will never happen.

Beyonce put on a great show. The details were amazing. Tennis Ball colors, the hair beads (even though she didn't wear them to slap her face while dancing).

Big Blue tried her best.... Maybe Rumi inherited Bey's talent.

This chick is so beyond overrated. That Ivy Park trash is TJ Maxx level fashion and her constantly being pushed to the top of the pile by the industry is annoying af! Her themes are the same and her self-indulgence is off putting.

I'm about to sound super nitpicky to some people but whatever. Why is every girl on that stage (or at least in the pic since I didn't watch the show) wearing beads except Blue? Ok, maybe Beyodler didn't want beads because it would clash with her bleach blonde European Yaki lacefront, but why include your child in an ensemble and make her stand out completely from everyone else? Why isn't Blue conforming to a design decision that celebrates precisely what she's singing about and is presented on stage? Is Blue really that special?

To me this is yet another low-key example of how she/they always finds way to distance themselves from whatever they're representing if it comes off as too Black. It's like they want to be included in celebrating Blackness as long as they don't have to commit to anything wholly Afrocentric. I've seen it time and time again so this is just one example of many.

Bey killed it per usual, I would have expected no less.

@11:17 Thank you. I thought they were going to give her one since she's been begging for all of creation. This neegrow kept talking about she wanted to be the first black woman to be an EGOT. I guess someone finally whispered in her ear that Whoopi Goldberg had already snatched that up. I wonder how many ooo's and aaa's she wrote in that nominated song? Cause she swears she's a song writer.

I would have preferred a better vocalist. This performance was lost on me.

Visuals were beautiful but song is boring

@ 1:59 The Visuals were great minus Beyonce's bare leg with the garter belt. Just inappropriate for the performance. Blue did a great job.
Beyonce should be plotting nd planning her release from this agreement with Jay Z. Rumors are rampant about him.

Yawn, yawn, yawn! Beyonce wrote a song for a movie to try to get an Oscar and now she's singing said song at the Oscars and opening up the show?? Oh! Bey tryna win an Oscar, tryna wiggle into and take over the spotlight again while force feeding us her over-hyped average daughter trying to convince us Blue Ivy is super talented? Oh... Nothing to see here folks! Same ole tired boring pony tricks. Move along everyone.

Lovely video, and the words to the song as strong!

I didn't like the song or the garter belt. Not sure how it relates to anything. A lot of us said she would get the Oscar by default.

Will somebody explain to be why this girl Billie Eilish keeps getting big rave reviews? I don't see it or hear it in her TicTok vocals. Btch can't sing.

I love the song! It is boring and elementary. It’s trying to squeeze into the I believe I can fly space.
The performance was cool and of course Blue didn’t have beads. That’s Beyoncé’s baby and that’s not their aesthetic.

Maybe you should have WATCHED before commenting. Every person on stage was NOT wearing beads. #justsaying 😁

My ears prefer NOT to bleed, hence me not watching, and why I based on my comment on the photo only. But thanks for sharing that little tidbit.
