Blac Chyna Refusing to Pay Kardashian Legal Expenses

This week the Kardashian Klan filed a motion claiming Blac Chyna owed them $400,000 in legal fees after losing her civil lawsuit against them [click here if you missed that].

Not so fast...

Lynne Ciani, who represented Chyna in her recent two-week trial against the reality TV stars, told Page Six in an exclusive statement late Tuesday that the the powerhouse family “cannot recover” the legal fees from her client (born Angela White).
“Kris Jenner’s attempt to financially ruin Angela White, the mother of her granddaughter Dream Kardashian, will not work,” Ciani said.
The lawyer explained that, under California law, costs are only awarded to defendants “when they are without fault,” but the jury came to a verdict that both Kris and Kylie Jenner “falsely claimed” Chyna had abused her ex-fianc√© Rob Kardashian.
“The same Los Angeles jury reached a verdict that defendants Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khlo√© Kardashian and Kylie Jenner did not act reasonably and in good faith to protect their own economic interests in the ‘Rob & Chyna’ show,” Ciani’s statement continued.
“Because Ms. White achieved these litigation objectives, defendants cannot be considered ‘prevailing parties’ under California law, and they cannot recover their exorbitant litigation costs of $391,000 from Ms. White.”
