Wendy Williams Son's Shopping Spree Triggered Wells Fargo Conservatorship

Last month former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams' brother Tommy claimed that Wendy turned away her only son, Kevin Jr, after he tried to visit Wendy in New York for her birthday [click here if you missed that].

Now there are reports that Kevin Jr's lavish spending is the reason Wells Fargo froze his mother's accounts...

From The Sun
WENDY Williams' son, Kevin Hunter Jr. "spent $100,000 on his mother's American Express card" before Wells Fargo froze the ailing host's accounts.
Sources close to the former daytime talk show host exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun that Kevin ran up a huge tab on her dime in the months before Wendy's brokerage accounts with supposed millions of dollars were frozen in January.
"Kevin Jr. spent around $100,000 on Wendy's personal America Express card. This was her own AmEx specifically," the insider shared.
The source explained that the card that Kevin, 22, used was different than the card Wendy's manager Bernie Young had used to hire attorney Carolyn Wolf, as The U.S. Sun previously reported.
"Kevin was demanding that Wendy's advisor pay the bill- instead of Wendy," the source claimed.
Between the American Express card usage, and the tense visit to a Wells Fargo bank in Florida with Wendy, her son and her now former attorney LaShawn Thomas, there were several red flags ahead of the accounts being frozen, according to sources.
A source confirmed the interaction and said that it had caused concern, as it was unusual for Wendy to come into a brokerage office, with people in tow and ask for access to her accounts.
The trio left the bank empty handed.
In a statement given to The U.S. Sun, Kevin Jr. said: "I vehemently deny any allegations of unauthorized use of my mother’s American Express Card. This is a false narrative perpetuated to justify freezing her accounts."

The plot thickens but I need more people. Someone is definitely orchestrating some malfeasance behind the scenes. This all sounds shady. This week it's time to shame the son. I'm not buying it.

No one should have had access to her account period. Never give any family nor business people account access.
Keep your high limit cards in safe and only carry debit card with less than $1000 in account and carry less than $100 in cash. When I need something I have my employees pay for it bring in the receipt and then reimburse them.

Is this the reason she wouldn't let him into her apartment on her birthday? Everyday it's something new. How did they put him in charge of her assets after the bank shut down her account, if he was the person who caused the shut down to happen?

I figured that her son Kevin had made some big charges because his father Kelvin said as much during his youtube speech. When he said that we would be hearing some rumors about their son and that we shouldn't believe them because he's a good hearted kid, I knew then that he was the cause of the freeze. Either that or Kelvin had used their son to get his hands on Wendy's American Express card. Kelvin Sr. has a history of going crazy buying up stuff on Wendy's dime.

It's one thing to place someone in charge of something. It's another thing if that person abuses their responsibilities. Maybe she felt that he wouldn't do such a thing after all she's gone through and considering who else she has in her life. Lots of lessons to be learned here.

Taking advantage of her because she’s vulnerable. Not a surprise!

Wendy is a strong woman but this is tew much. I hope this new husband got her back. Based on the folks she chooses I am doubtful.

The son should have his own credit card with a limit. It's easy to find out who spent 100k. Cameras and signage to the merchandise.

That's her son a direct heir. Whyt people always meddling. Wendy's money is probably wagered somewhere else by the bank and it has'nt earned the bank dividends yet or paid off. So the bank doesn't need this boy throwing off their formula.

@2:35 direct heir or not. Hid huge spending can cause havoc to the bottom line. My friend son was doing same thing.. she called me crying because it could have impacted her payroll among other things. Wendy’s son need to sit his young irresponsible Azz down! He can cause harm to his economic life with his ridiculous spending too. No matter how rich you are.. spending should be monitored periodt

With the apple not falling far from the tree shorty is about to have a life time of lil winky man problems. Now we know about the 'DAY' he stepped in to handle his mother's business and robbed her. All he is missing is his sherena

It has seemed all along like Wells Fargo was trying to protect her money. They had to have a justifiable reason to keep her from her coins. Probably waiting for a judge to name a conservator to cover their ass.
