Looks like Jay Z's deal with Bacardi has turned sour...
From TMZ
In docs obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Jay-Z's company, SC Liquor, is demanding total financial clarity from Bacardi when it comes to D'Usse ... the top shelf cognac brand in which Jay and Bacardi are 50/50 partners.
Jay and the booze giant have co-owned D'Usse since 2011 ... he regularly shouts out the brand in his songs, and even drank it from one of his Grammys once to promote it. However, the lawsuit makes it clear something about the partnership -- officially named D'Usse LLC -- isn't sitting well.
In the docs, Jay-Z's co. says it needs all books and records, the location of all warehouses storing D'Usse barrels, bottles and accessories ... as well as all info regarding Bacardi's physical inventory and its inventory process.
It's unclear what's prompting Jay to demand this info, but it is clear there's a level of distrust between the partners. One sentence from the docs seems pretty telling: SC Liquor says it needs to "monitor the conduct of [Bacardi's] business to protect SC's rights as" a partner in the company.

Maybe somebody snitched.
Clearly he feel like them liquor n66as skimming....and the transparency ain't that clear! At least he's handling it professionally & nit throwing a tantrum running to social media to sh*t on Bacardi
^^^ 11:34 That's it.
So they're charging all that money for Dussi and it's just Barcadi dark in a nicer bottle...
The public is the one who needs answers.
Jay Z doesn't lose in court so Bacardi should just comply.
This is what happens when you brag about your wealth and that you're a business man, yet illiterate. They've had a partnership for over 11 years but now he's auditing their business structure and annual P/L statements? Wow! Next time, hire effective General Managers to be on top of these types of things. Year one, he should have known what was what and every year following.
When you have connections you don't have to tweet you call your people to post it for you.
I'm sure TMZ was tipped off by someone in his camp to make this public and put pressure on Bacardi.

Yep, basically. They've been drinking that nasty Bacardi in a creative bottle.

What’s with the ‘that’s what you get for bragging about your wealth’ tone? This man is doing much better than many rappers of his genre and generation. Enough with the hate. Seriously. Real business minded don’t run to blogs and post nah nah nah nah nah comments. If black people were so smart why are the communities lacking? How about apply that so called knowledge to your areas instead of attacking EVERYTHING he does. It’s getting old. He isn’t going broke nor homeless. It’s another day where a business deal didn’t go his way and now he just has to strategize another move. I’m so sick of the jealousy. It’s ridiculous.
LLC makes it a totally different company without Jay Z ... wow, what a move!
I think J Z has his hands in many unpleasant businesses. Prison Industrial Complex being just one ...
ITs a way to audit his partnerships goings on it will play out he leaked it just to keep his name in the peoples mouths this will shake out as nothing more than a way for Bacardi to say oh our bad and give him back what he is owed as they are skimming and its what happens when you join a joint venture the one who run the day to day will always have company men in their midst and who will shave and cut corners to benefit their organization it shows their loyalty and in some cases it shows they follow orders, but watch fallout Corey ain't no joke he knows if they find impropriety what that means so either he knows its going on and has know its been going on for some time and he waited and watched so he could take the brand over to LVMH because he can get a better deal because they don't have to break the brand its already proven and its growth potential is greater because they have a better international reach so he wins and Bacardi's thank me slick sh!t did them in on this one or he just thinks they stealin and wants to know for sure they are not on his dime or finds out they are and they pick up his legal onthis whole suit as part of settlement plus awarding him back what they skimmed .....kudos to him for being about his business
@8:39 thats just a text book definition of crabs in a barrel some people can't help themselves they are already poisoned and one of the side effects of that poisoning is the delusion of thinking hating is helpful when disagreeing instead of going out and doing better or offering help to assist those already doing to do better
A bunch of folks who own nothing with opinions about multi-million business deals 😂
