Judge Mathis Canceled

Judge Mathis and The People's Court canceled after more than two decades on the air...

The news was announced this week that Judge Mathis' 24th season will be the last.

The People's Court with Judge Milian will also end after its 26th season.

According to insiders, the decision was made due to the declining nature of the daytime syndication landscape.

Man. Judge Mathis is my favorite judge. Being from Detroit, I'm happy he made it to 24 seasons. Hopefully I can catch the last season. If not, maybe when it comes on YouTube.

Glad he's off the air because he was very biased against women to the point he'd sway his rulings in men's favor, but he bowed down to the LGBTQxyz. He'd attack women in a nano second but was super kind to the gays, masons, and frat boys. Good riddance you grouch.

I don’t watch any of the judges
He had a long run he’ll be fine
Bring a new Jerry to replace the old one
I miss fights on daytime tv

He might get picked up by BET or OWN. But I guarantee his salary will be waaaaay less.

Mathis out, JHud & Sherri still in.

Haven’t watched him in years because he had such obvious biases and sometimes he was just full of niggaliciousness. @7:03 is right about him giving women an attitude.

Jhud and Sherri are boring. Although, if I had to pick, it would be jhud; she's more likeable and has that 'down chick' persona that's relatable. As for Mathis - I never watched his show and neither has my grandmother lol - I was very much a Judge Judy fan (back in the early 2000s) - and I didn't like how Mathis did Wendy Williams bank in the day; I hate black men who go toe to toe with black women with verbal attacks; it's such a bish @$$ quality; good riddance.

Nobody can spot a Crackhead like Judge Mathis. I love him. I can't wait to see what he does next. I also liked his reality show with his family on E! I hope that gets renewed.

I stopped watching him a long time ago when I went back to work. He was the only judge that I watched. He was funny to me.

Good! I can't stand his old mean projecting azz, always calling somebody a crackhead.

8:59AM - All facts. I'll take Judy over Mathis any day. At least she tried to educate folks about the law when she was cussing them out. Lol

Good riddance. I stopped watching him when he spit on that parking valet then got the man to pretend like he didn’t.

Judge Mathis did Aretha Franklin dirty during her televised funeral services, so he lost me then and there.

He sat by and said nothing to defend Ms. Franklin during her funeral when the "preacher" openly insulted her as she was laid out in her casket. Only Stevie Wonder "sort of" spoke up.

Aretha had Mathis on speed dial, and kept her pocketbook open to Mathis relative to worthy financial causes within the Black community.

She has BEEN funding the Civil Rights Movement (travelled with MLK, raised money, performed for free) since forever. She bailed Angela Davis out of jail. If my memory serves She gave support to Malcolm X.

For her troubles, she was placed on the FBI watchlist (recently disclosed) and had Black men pressed about what she did with her own Vajayjay.

Black women keep the church doors open and do the hard work or organizing, yet many of these Black men are jealous, thinking that it should be them getting all the shine instead of some "chick", therefore taking any opportunity to insult Black women while refusing to be protectors when they should be, while at the same time upholding their trifling peers (notice I did not include the crackheads).

Judge Mathis is the only judge I've watched over the years. Glad he made it to 24 seasons. He's a real one

Don’t he have a reality show with his family anyway? He will be ok. I know all the grandmas about to lose it. Mine watched his show with the great grands so much, that my son got in trouble in school when he was 8 for calling a little girl a crackhead.

I could not figure out where he learned the word until my grandmother told me Judge Mathis.

*breaking news*
Word is, allegedly, supposedly, his show is being reincarnated on a media platform owned by Byron Allen.
