The Daisy Experience - Del La Soul Tribute to Dave

Last month David ‘Trugoy the Dove’ Jolicoeur, co-founder of the rap group De La Soul, tragically passed away just months after the group finally regained ownership of their music for streaming [click here if you missed that]. 

Over the weekend the remaining members of the group, Kelvin “Posdnuos” Mercer and Vincent Lamont “Maseo” Mason Jr., along with a host of Hip Hop icons came out to pay their last respects...

Dave Chapelle hosted the event with appearances from Common, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Public Enemy’s Chuck D., Black Thought, Talib Kweli, DJ Red Alert, DJ Premier, D-Nice, Prince Paul, and an impromptu performance of 'Ladies First' from Queen Latifah and Monie Love.
