This week Meghan Markle accepted the Ms. Foundation '2023 Woman of Vision Award' in her first public appearance since skipping the coronation of King Charles.
After the event, according to reports, paparazzi aggressively followed Meghan and Prince Harry in an hours long pursuit through traffic...
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and her mother Doria Ragland were involved in a “near catastrophic” car chase after being followed by paparazzi, their spokesperson has revealed.
The chase took place after Meghan and Harry had attended an awards ceremony in New York on Tuesday.
The spokesperson said: “Last night, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi. This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers. While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety.”
“Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all in involved,” the spokesperson added.
Harry and Meghan were attending the Ms. Foundation for Women’s 2023 Women of Vision Awards. The event honored Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, grantee partners Wanda Irving of Dr. Shalon’s Maternal Action Project and Kimberly Inez McGuire of URGE, as well as activists LaTosha Brown, Olivia Julianna, and Rebekah Bruesehoff for their impact on the gender justice movement.

I watched the footage and somebody lying because that didn't appear to be a 2 hour chase. Either they, the press or the NYPD are exaggerating the events.

They were in a yellow cab so I believe this story. Yellow cab drivers drive like maniacs. Plus in the video on TMZ, a pap was all up in the car window and on the door getting footage. Blogs are saying it was most likely UK paparazzi as they have no chill whatsoever. Smh
So the nypd updated their statement “The NYPD assisted the private security team protecting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. There were numerous photographers that made their transport challenging. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at their destination and there were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests in regard.”
So, it was an irritating ride. That’s not exactly what these royal spokesperson was saying, sounded more like something from a mission impossible movie

LOL the cab driver said they got in his car drove a few blocks with two cars behind them asked him his name, gave him some money and thanked him.
My sister saw them being chased down the FDR at 80 mph. She said it was scary as hell. Don’t know about the two hours but the chase was real.
It's said they drove around because they didn't want the paps to know where they were staying.

2 hour car chases in Manhattan don’t happen. None of the main streets in New York built for it. 🚷You can not go OJ Simpson in a white bronco in New York, you just can’t. They drove around for 2 hours because she convinced that idiot she married that somebody was chasing them and that gypsy cab driver was like “fine by me, you are paying by the mile.”
If a 2 hour car chase ever happened in New York City, which it won’t, (people walking get somewhere quicker most of the time than driving, which is why you see them walking or on train) the news helicopters and cameras would have complete coverage. And No real awards show put their honoree in a smelly, cramped, yellow cab, they have car service for them. This is a PR a stunt. Harry Didn’t get enough attention at that musty old coronation, and Meghan didn’t get the attention she wanted so now this. Meghan stay playing on this red head fool and his mommy issues. He is just that dumb.💅🏽
I'm tired of these 2 and wish these migrants go back to England, but here are the facts:
1. They left the event in a private car, and that's when the paps began stalking them, even with a police cars escorting them on their way. The paps were on motorcycles
2. They took the FDR--this is where the 2 hour chase happened, so this is very plausible
3. They had to stop at a precinct to get help from the police to shake the paps off and decided to take a yellow cab. Also, they didn't want to be followed because they were staying at a friend's house and didn't want the pandemonium to follow them there.
They need a better system of getting around. And they should probably get dark tinted windows to deter the paps. They were pleading with Charles to keep their security, but I hope that NY does not have to pay for cops to protect them everytime they come to NY
New Yorkers don't care about these celebrities at all. The majority of the paps were from media overseas. We mind our business, and admire from a distance. Don't bring drama messing up traffic or the subways. We got places to go!!

Caught in a Lie, AGAIN, and NYPD said they aren’t backing up their lies and looking stupid. There was no 2 hour chase, no danger, no other car accidents as they claimed, and no near fatalities .
Just a drama queen and stunt queen, thirsty for headlines and PR. This is why people don’t like them, because of the lies they put out for attention. Harry really has no shame, his mom was killed this way. This is a desperate and despicable way to try and get headlines and attention.

A dangerous two hour car chase, yet Murky Meg, Doritos and Harry Harkle were not wearing seatbelts. And Murky Meg knows her black family well, she grew up spending time with them while being looked after by Doria's mother. So miss everyone with she doesn't know her black family This woman discards everyone in her life when they no longer serves her any purpose. So her black family has decided to keep quiet and let her be. I don't blame them.
