Over the weekend Prince Harry attended the coronation of his father King Charles III but left London immediately after, skipping a planned family luncheon, to be home in time to celebrate his son Prince Archie's 4th birthday [click here if you missed that].

The King raised a glass to toast the fourth birthday of Prince Harry’s son Archie at Buckingham Palace yesterday in a moving to tribute to the grandson he has barely seen.
Despite the ongoing acrimony with Harry, who was on a plane back to the US within hours of his father being crowned, emotional Charles made a point of mentioning his absent grandchildren as well as those present on his big day.
The poignant moment came at a private family gathering at the palace following his Westminster Abbey crowning and appearance on the balcony with Queen Camilla.
It is understood that an invitation had been politely extended to Harry to join the family lunch but he decided to return to California to celebrate Archie’s big day.
A well-placed source said that, while most members of the Royal Family ‘breathed a sigh of relief’ that Harry didn’t join them, the King, 74, seemed ‘genuinely quite disappointed that he didn’t stay’.
Before they started eating, Prince William, 40, stood and congratulated his father on such a momentous day.
Charles replied, thanking everyone who had worked hard to make the day so special.
The King raised a glass to his three grandchildren Prince George – who also served as a Page of Honour – Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who were among the stars of the show and carried out their public appearances with aplomb.
But he made a point of also toasting ‘those that weren’t there’ and wished his other grandson a very happy birthday ‘wherever he was’.
‘It was apparently a very sweet moment,’ the source said.

All lies...they know Charles didn't do that. It's a darn fairy tale read. And why didn't he toast Lillibet? He knows that a lot of people can't stand him and his sorry homewrecking wife.
Harry keeps trying to make peace but they keep icing him out. It's like he's hoping his dad will be his dad but that's the same man who married the woman who helped hurt his mom and made his side piece queen. Imagine your daddys side piece becoming queen and you having to put on for the public. So it's not Harry, it's that old spoiled pappy of his. Charles seems like you do as he says or kiss his behind. If he really loved his motherless son he'd do what it took to welcome him home, period. I'd hate looking Camilla in her face wearing my dead mothers jewels.

I’m sorry I need proof because this sounds silly. Even if he was extended an invite to lunch, he probably would’ve been seated at a table in the back somewhere. So oh well.
And why wasn’t the coronation on the bank holiday again? Does this mean Brits have a coronation holiday now or nah? Glad it was rainy weather after a sunny week too! They know that coronation could’ve been held on Monday.
