Back in March former Ikette and 'Welcome to Sweetie Pies' star Robbie Montgomery closed The Upper Crust, her last remaining restaurant in St. Louis [click here if you missed that].
Now Miss Robbie is preparing to open a new restaurant...

I didn't know Robbie was an Ikette lol smh. Vanessa Bell Callaway is still acting. I loved her in Black Monday as Regina Hall's mother- they had great chemistry. I wish they had created a better storyline for Black Monday, and I wish they had kept both Janelle James and Vanessa Bell cause they were both phenomenal! When it comes to black stories, we rarely get good writers and story runners. Smh.
Yes, Ms. Robbie was an original Ikette. According to TinaTurner, Robbie would loan her money and help her because Ike wouldn't give her cash. Robbie left the music business because her kungs collapsed, then she rebuilt and went into cooking.
I can't look at robbie without thinking about Andre. I think robbie knew Tim stole that money. She just wanted to take the heat off Tim and cajoled Andre into coming back. Andre said he was scared Tim was trying to kill him. F robbie.

Ms. Robbie in her 80s and still working, good Lord. She employed and helps so many kinfolks that I guess she can't sit down.
