Queen Charlotte was mixed and looked more white with reddish hair and so why darken her up? You can be light and still be Black. Be fair and accurate in her portrayal. I look white but I am very proud to be Black but it would be unfair to make me darker or my hair curlier because a part of my journey was how I experienced life looking the way God made me. I had good experiences and then some very cruel experiences. The Queens story is misrepresented if sge doesn't look like her in the show. There are very light Blacks too.

@ 9:58. You're right about the real Queen Charlotte. She indeed looked more white with red hair.

This is fiction, y’all. The story is made up, sort of based on real characters. Doesn’t matter what she really looked like.
