She from Toledo but the D has been her home for years. Same with Aretha. ’Re wasn’t from Detroit but it was her home.
It amazes me who moved or stayed in the D (Aretha, Anita, Rosa Parks, Malcolm, Jimmy Hoffa) compared to those who left (Erry low-down body from Motown).
Anyway, Anita is considered a Detroiter even on her worse days.

Fact: Just like EnVogue, Anita was not allowed to talk to or make eye contact (!) with Luther while she was on tour with him. If she wanted to say something to him, she had to have her people call his people. Luther was one insecure diva who made life difficult for everyone around him.

I have lived long enough to realize that a pattern of behavior is indicative of who someone really is. Anita has a history and a certain pattern when working with other artists. I'm just saying.
I don't like her. I used to though. But hearing all of the stories about her stank attitude over the years have made me not like her. I love her music, but she ain't all that to be acting all stank. We've all heard much better. Let's be real about it.

It's alarming to me how ppl that go through life changing illnesses come out of the health crisis (stroke for her) and not learn a lesson of compassion. She is very blessed to be able to sing again. Yet she comes back with the same stories of acting the same way as if she's not grateful for having her career back. So many others like Tina Turner never regained her ability to return to music.
