Anita and Babyface really don't mix musically and are both main event level stars, not supporting acts. He shouldn't be starting for anyone at this stage. Babyface needs his own tour, just add The Deal and After 7 (rip Melvin). Anita needs a lesser famous singer to open for her or just do the whole show.
BF tours all the time and he usually has supporting guests with him… like Tank, like Musiq Soulchild, like After 7, etc. AB does not need BF to tour … I love BF and have gone to his shows before so I don’t need to see him again for a while. I bought this ticket for AB and I ain’t mad at her for protecting herself since BF ain’t trying to help the narratives out there.
He should not be the headliner with her. He can do that on his own.
He does not sell out his tours so hopefully for him, this is giving him some attention that will draw more in for him next time.
I would see Babyface before I would go see Anita Baker
Both should be ashamed of themselves. Babyface should never have released the initial statement saying they wouldn’t let him play. And Anita should have just stayed off of social media. I was thinking of seeing them when they came to the Detroit area in a couple weeks, but I’ll just keep my coins for some other entertainment.
I dont think Anita knows how social media works. He cant fix things once they happen and her constantly talking causes problems

BabyFace wrote hits, Anita sings hits. She has a big fan base and sells out arenas. BabyFace needed her audience to help kick off his own arena tours. In order for Babyface to put on a major show he needs features. Anita only needs Anita.
Anita Baker is an insufferable old witch who got lucky with a few good songs because she's one of the worst singers I've ever heard. Old black people really gassed her up because she can't compete vocally with any of her female musical peers. Babyface should be like Luther Vandross, he kept his foot on her neck when they toured together.
