Jamie Foxx might not be gracing any red carpets at the moment, but he's still on everyone's mind. ET's Kevin Frazier spoke with Foxx's co-star, Porscha Coleman, at the 2023 BET Awards, where she shared a hopeful update on the 55-year-old's hospitalization in Atlanta, Georgia.
"I've talked to people very close to Foxx, [he] is doing well. I hate that the media outlets kept running with the narrative of what was going on without having the proper information," she says, referring to public speculation on Foxx's condition after the Oscar winner's hospitalization for an undisclosed medical condition was first announced on April 12.

Sorry, not sorry, but I don't want to hear NOT ONE MORE update from someone else. If he's doing so well, JAMIE needs to make a statement to his fans. And if he IS doing SO WELL, he is being inconsiderate to his fans at this point. We have all been supporting him, worrying about him and praying for him, but keep hearing from other people that he's doing well. I don't want to hear SHT from someone ELSE unless they are saying he's incapacitated and CAN'T speak. TF. As long as someone ELSE is speaking for him, I'm going to take it as he is NOT well.
We know he’s incapacitated. Just don’t know how bad. The only thing that’s going to stop speculation is accurate information.
Dude had a stroke and recovering from cognition and communication. With a surgery done on his brain, he won’t be seen for a while. And why is she questioning the existence of narratives when he is no where with no one to issue official narratives? Til then, he recovering from a stroke.
