Da Brat and Jesseca DuPart Called Out Over Baby Name

Last week rapper Da Brat and her wife Jesseca Dupart welcomed their first child together, a boy they named True Legend Depart-Harris [click here if you missed that].

Now Jesseca's former best friend is calling her out for copying her children's names...

How about it's a stupid name. True Legend?? Wtf?? But no pressure, right? Smh

Maybe she liked the names. So what? I can see if BB Judy knew she wanted to name her unborn the same name, and named her child first, but her kids already have both names. I would be honored, but that’s just me.

A child's name should be a proper noun, not an adjective or adverb. Only a low iq individual does this.

I don’t have any opinion one way or the other about BB Judy but in reviewing her Instagram comments this chick seems histrionic and possibly mentally unwell. She’s on Instagram accusing folks of “witchcraft” and putting hexes on her kids and needing to get them “purified” by the blood of Jesus etc. There’s a difference between being religious and having religious delusions.

You own your child, not the name. Get over it or see it as an honor.

I don't see Brat being complicit in any mess like this and so I'm thinking Judy just liked the names or misses her ex best friend's kids. My ex best friend's son honored me on his FB on Mother's Day and I haven't seen them in years. He did a collage of the women in his family and me even though his mom and I fell out. I still adore her kids, and her too, but just from a safe distance. I want to think Judy had the best intentions but I don't know how bad they fell out or why the ex bestie is saying "wicked." I'd never call my ex best friend wicked and so they must have had a horrible falling out with zero healing. Wonder what's that all about? I wouldn't have said a word because unless you ready to speak on it, hush.

I think this is someone that worked for Judy and there was a wrongful death lawsuit involving her and Judy. Apparently a makeup artist brought their child to an appointment to do Judy's makeup. I don't know all the specifics, but the child drowned in the pool at the location . The makeup artist sued but I think this Shanaya person ended being the one they deemed at fault.

12:54, wow that's horrific. I had no idea. Thanks for the clarification. A death and being blamed for it would definitely tear things apart.

I told a friend one of the names I liked, and she named her child that. We weren't close when she had her kid, so I always wondered if we were close, would she have said something. Anyway, It's not really demony. This lady is over exaggerating. She liked the names and probably thought "I'm gonna use it anyway". I wouldn't do it, but I wouldn't think it was that malicious.

Suck it up lady, True Legend is fitting for a white man raised by two black women who want to be men. Just dumb dumb. It's just a matter of time before they at the photo op of him getting both ears pierced and how HIS baby hair sleights in his fresh braids complete in a pink outfit. When he is 5 he will be tasked with the decision of does he want to be a big boy or big girl.

Arguing over who's kid got named what is beyond childish and stupid. The name "True" and "Legendary" has become more popular due to Khloe K naming her daughter True, and due to Nick Cannon's kid being named "Legendary"; it's like when everyone was naming their kid "Jayden" "Jackson" and "Wolf". Shyt happens.

Thanks for confirming YOUR low IQ. 🤣 Here are some common names, which is a proper noun? Brian, Nancy, Jackie, Brianna...
Maybe, you don't know what a proper noun is... 😁
