G Herbo Accepts Plea Deal in Fraud Case

Three years ago Chicago drill rapper G Herbo was arrested on fraud charges after being accused of using stolen credit cards to finance his lavish lifestyle [click here if you missed that].

This week Herbo accepted a plea deal admitting his guilt...

From Mass Live
Herbert “G Herbo” Wright, a young artist who gained prominence on the drill rap scene, on Wednesday agreed to plead guilty to wire fraud and lying to U.S. Secret Service agents after being indicted by a federal grand jury in Springfield in 2020. He was charged along with five co-defendants.
While the plea agreement had been in the works for months, Wright only inked it late Wednesday afternoon, after appearing in U.S. District Court following a string of missteps while on pretrial release.
He faces up to 20 years in prison, but more likely will get a far lower sentence — potentially including a term of probation, court records say. Wright will formally plead guilty in late July in Springfield.
Wright was charged in federal court along with rap promoter Antonio Strong, who fleeced individuals and business owners for more than $150,000 after renting private jets, luxury yachts, an island in Jamaica and buying pricey “teacup” puppies to raise Wright’s profile and to advance his own career.

Fun Fact: G Herbo was accused of snitching on his accomplices in this case [click here if you missed that].
