Olympian Lolo Jones has hinted that she is ready to retire - telling DailyMail.com that she is focusing on more 'peaceful' things in her life, after opening up about how still being a virgin at age 40 has 'killed her love life'.
The 40-year-old athlete, originally from Iowa, has become one of the most accomplished hurdlers in the world throughout her decades-long career.
But she has now suggested that she is preparing to take a step back from the track as she instead focuses on 'things that are peaceful.'
Speaking to DailyMail.com about how she gets away from the intensity of the spotlight, she said: 'I usually take a few breaks. I take breaks off of social media. I try to recharge my system by reading.'
The athlete went on by noting that she's focusing her energies on finding 'peace' in her life - comparing herself to NFL legend Tom Brady in the lead-up to his retirement and hinting that she is ready to follow the same path.
'Right now I'm currently gardening,' she shared. 'I know it seems super weird, but I'm just trying to do things that are peaceful. I tell everybody I'm on a day-by-day plan.
'I'm on the Tom Brady retirement plan before he actually retired.'
