50 Cent Downplays BET

Last week it was announced that Paramount Pictures was no longer considering selling their majority stake in BET [click here if you missed that].

Rapper 50 Cent, who pooled his finances with Shaquille O'Neal and Kenya Barris to submit a bid, downplays the value based on the asking price...

In a post on Instagram 50 Cent says, "That shish wasn't worth $3 billion."

Neither he nor Shaq had any intention of bidding even 1 billion, they couldn't secure the proper investors. They were pawns used to inflate the value of that network to trick Tyler into paying more than it's worth. It'll be your own people!

How about investing $3B instead to build a learning center that teaches the dying trades (plumbing, carpentry, etc), STEM or Fine Arts to impoverished but gifted Black kids.

Why purchase a network that no one watches. Start a new one that has the potential to be great. If 50ty has anything to do with the station it will be about street violence. I don't watch anything like that.

I agree it isn’t worth $3B. That’s a huge risk to invest money into a network that lost its pizazz. $300,000,000., yes but $3B?? No!

Someone called this in a recent thread on BET. Said Paramount overpriced the value. Move on and come up with another plan. I'm glad some Black people have money they're willing to invest into Black culture.

You can sell out and sell your s0ul but you cannot own ANYTHING them fake jhew$ use against your people to destroy them. Ask Bill C0sby how that went for him. Ask Irv Gotti n Ja Rule how that went. Ask Sam Cooke and Otis Redding how that went. Ask Marcus Garey. Ask Dr. Sebi.
