Lizzo Accused of Bullying Lawsuit Dancers

This week it was revealed that pop star Lizzo was planning to counter-sue three of her former dancers who are suing her for sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment [click here if you missed that].

Now the dancers are accusing Lizzo of being a bully and using the threat of a counter suit as an intimidation tactic...

From Page Six
Lizzo’s former backup dancers suing the singer for sexual harassment believe her plan to countersue them is an “insidious attempt at intimidation,” according to their lawyers.
“Lizzo’s threat to countersue for malicious prosecution is an insidious attempt at intimidation and delivers a chilling effect to all harassment victims in the workplace,” attorney Ron Zambrano, who represents plaintiffs Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, says in a statement to Page Six.
“The scare tactics, bullying and victim shaming coming from Lizzo’s team is exactly the behavior employees face in the entertainment industry who feel they have no choice but to ‘suck it up’ for access and success,” the lawyer adds.
Zambrano claims the “Good as Hell” performer is trying to scare other alleged victims from coming forward with similar accusations.
“Her team is merely trying to suppress the truth and hide her hypocrisy of publicizing her brand as one of empowerment and body positivity while privately depriving women of their empowerment,” Zambrano says.
“Lizzo certainly isn’t empowering women by way of her threats, rather she is disenfranchising them, but this lawsuit isn’t just about her. This sort of behavior is pervasive in the entertainment industry. That doesn’t make it right, and it’s still illegal.”

I don't like Lizzo but if you sue me I am very likely to counter sue. All is fair in war. As for the girls smiling on the pictures, unhappy people smile everyday on pics. Folks who are about to unalive themselves will pretend to be happy too. So Lizzo showing them smiling doesn't mean a thing because employees at Disneyland are required to smile. Lol Both sides need to bring more evidence.

What Zambrano said.

Lizzo needs the same Me Too energy as men get. So many have been "guilty until proven innocent", losing jobs and opportunities... all that. I am supporting the accusers until it is proven they aren't victims.

Lizzo has not addressed any of the specific accusations made by these ladies. Instead she’s trying to use her vast financial resources to shut them up, hoping they’ll go broke before they go to trial. This is not fair but it is America.

Counter suing is her right. What the????
So, because you don’t have any money you’re getting scared and for them to say this is intimidation tactics tells me they are lying. They were supposed to say ‘Bring it, B!’
If you have proof of the complaints against her you would not be intimidated.

When you got a lawyer who is working for peanuts and she got a corporate staff of lawyers on retainer you are not gonna say “bring it”, dummy. The U.S. system of “justice” works for rich people. Got nothing to do with the truth. I don’t know if Lizzo is wrong or right but if she countersues we’re never going to find out.
