Her performing for the trump inaugural committee does not make her a republican or a trump supporter, and if she is so what? She is an artist first. They perform for all sorts of audiences. Some people would probably go broke and hungry if they took public scrutiny seriously. Let her eat and live. Kanye did much worse and continues to basically go unscathed.
All of the young Black women are denouncing sororities and turning back to Jesus while these older Black women are going off into paganism and idolatry because you can't go high in the industry without doing those rituals. Nearly every black celebrity like Roland, Rickey Smily, Sherri Shepherd, Kym Whitley, Phylicia Rashad , and on and on are elevated because of it. No thanks.
As an honor society member who happens to be Black, it's her prerogative to join at near middle age. It's also her business to live life on her terms, even if she looked dumb af trying to justify her logic to the public. However, when she talks about women's struggles, namely the miscarriage she did not have, we got a problem. That ish was really insensitive and just a way to get the black internet off her case for aligning herself with Dump.
