A source tells ET that the 45-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, and the former co-host of The Real weren't on the same page when it came to "certain family values and expectations."
"They had different views, and each felt like their needs weren't being completely met," the source explains.
According to court documents obtained by ET, Jeezy filed for divorce on Thursday in Fulton County Superior Court. The documents state they've been separated, the marriage is "irretrievably broken," and "there is no hope for reconciliation." Jeezy also wants joint legal custody of their daughter.

Now I see why certain pastors wont agree to marry you unless you have couples counseling first. This is something that should have been THOROUGHLY discussed beforehand. What a mess!!! Didnt even make it to 4 years
Once she got comfortable she reverted to her historical traits and started treating him like a N$$$$. She prolly started putting hands on him, thinking it was ok.
Hope they’re able to focus on co-parenting and finding a way to reconcile those beliefs for that child.
No spouse is ever going to have all of their needs “completely met” in a marriage. The relationship is built on adjustments and compromises. These family values and expectations they now disagree on, they’ll still be doing them, just separately. Wonder if they even tried counseling.
Asian women are notorious for making their husband's take care of their entire family.
9:46, my old friend's son was a famous drummer. His wife (Filipina) was kind and loving. Until she got the ring. Moved her family in, refused to allow the husband's family anywhere near their kids. Had her family on the payroll. I try not to generalize people, but she was the walking stereotype you hear about.

Well, I do have a friend who's wife is Filipino. She treats him like a live in slave period.
Family values and expectations are basic conversations people who want marriage or long term partnerships should be having. That is unless one or the other (or both) had an agenda and didn't care about none of that. Sounds like somebody went in thinking love and commitment and the other one was like, got 'em!

Asian women are hardly submissive. In some Asian cultures, a hubby-to-be has to have a house, a car, and a substantial dowry. After marriage, if they are Asian, the husband's parents move in with the married couple. Since they are a mixed couple, her family moves in with the couple or the husband pays for the parents apartment/home.
