Kimora Lee Simmons Re Launches Baby Phat

Kimora Lee Simmons re-launches her fashion brand Baby Phat with a new collection...

From People
Kimora Lee Simmons is bringing us back to the noughties.
The model-turned-fashion-mogul, 48, is gearing up to debut a new fall collection for her beloved brand Baby Phat clothing, and it's not only catering to the millennials who fell in love with the brand in the early aughts, but it's also tapping into the nostalgia trend Gen Z-ers have embraced the last couple of years.
"I call it kind of a relaunch. I just think because of everything we've been through, throughout COVID and everything, it seems like your life is always a relaunch every time you give birth to a different iteration of, you know, your baby, which this is," Simmons tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The new collection, which launches on Sept. 29, features mini cargo skirts, cute crop tops and of course, the classic velour tracksuits with the Baby Phat cat, that fans of the brand know and love. Also in the collection is another brand staple: Baby Phat denim.
The new fall collection is priced between $50 to $100 and will be available exclusively on BabyPhat.com starting Sept. 29

The velour track suit looks cute. Everything else is a pass. Kimora should've included a relaunch of her reality show, Life in the Fab lane, cause she's definitely more entertaining on television than the runway

She needs to update the designs, these look like the leftovers from the 90's. The rhinestone Baby Phat across the butt is played out, the logo print velour jogging print is even more played.

KL gurl let it go. Times have changed and there are better looking trashy clothes to purchase. That basic stuff you trying to sell looks like remnants.

Teenagers would like it.

Ho-wear.

Who asked for this? They got better low budget offerings at Rainbow. And I'm all for body acceptance but that big girl in the pink tracksuit with the backwards butt ain't it. Wearing super tight clothes to show off rolls doesn't exude confidence. It demonstrates cluelessness.

If she includes some decent modest wear, cool. I'm over hoe culture, not everyone is trying to look like a skank.

ah, no

Not tryn to be funny. The clothes or slightly date but lose the logo or put the logo it inside the clothes. For example wide leg jeans with a nice cut minus the logo written all over it might sell. Thank me later

Saw her at Mr. Chow a month or so ago she looked very good thinner than I had imagined but very pretty had one of her daughters I believe could be wrong and a friend of her or her daughters maybe? She should be back in the drivers seat over there she spun this off her ex's PhatFarm and did well but the gossip was she got arrogant and entitled after becoming a huge success after slowing down on the modeling work. Most models peak in career and do okay after with other ventures but she it seemed from outside appearances took the clothing line and climbed to new heights but that is the gossip that doesn't make it facts the suits pushed her out I heard so could be just their negative PR blitz to paint her in a bad light so they had favorable sentiment for pushing her out. Who really knows wish her the best that line was the uniform for dimes and dimes only for a minute back in the day you didn't step out in BabyPhat if your whole drip wasn't on point for fear you would get accused of dressing above your station, waiting to see if she can make the new new ring out like that again

She found a stash of stuff since moving out of her mansion she can no longer afford.

Why doubt anybody waited for the relaunch of that giant cat

The track suit is very late 90's Baby Phat and the other stuff looks like something from TEMU. She needs to remember that SHEIN and other companies exist now and they are far cheaper. These are extremely hard economic times and $100 is a lot to spend even on Ralph Lauren. Baby Phat, Apple Bottoms, Sean John, and brands like Tommy Hilfigure ,ECKO,are very dated now. She needs to reinvent the brand.

This is perfection. The thots will love this. This is in line with Shein, Fashionova and the other junk 'designer' brands. Slut /trash fashion will never go out of style and the black community will eat it up.
