Nia Long’s ex-fiancé Ime Udoka has opposed her request to primary custody of their minor son — and told the court he should be awarded joint custody despite the actress’ wishes, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the NBA coach has responded to the petition filed by Long.
In his newly filed response, Udoka checked the box demanding joint legal and physical custody. In addition, he also checked the box seeking visitation on top of his joint custody.
Udoka also opposed Long’s request he cover her attorney fees. He said they should be responsible for their own bills.

Dudes kill me with asking for joint custody when they were only part time daddies the whole time. Any man that does this for the sake of child support is lame AF.

They were not married they should pay their own bills and he should have joint custody and spend time with his kid and pay no support. They are both well off
Doesn't mean you don't have to pay child support. Halle had joint customer with her daughter's father who she didn't marry and pay him $16000 a month, most recently reduced to $6000 and her ex husband has to pay him $6000 for when the children are with them

If he wasn't jointly caring for the child prior to the break up he needs to sit his az down somewhere. Only asking for "joint custody" now because he wants reduced child support. That sht is so lame. Everybody hollering "it's his son too." Yes, it's his son too. It was his son too before the breakup and he wasn't "jointly" doing sht for that little boy. Nia was caring for the son FULL time by herself, while he was traveling with the team, team practices, fulfilling his career .... and cheating. He need to GTFOHWTBS
That's what happens when you go half on a baby. When the baby daddy leaves, he wants half of the responsibility if he's going to pay child support. Don't go to court and you won't have those problems.
They should have gotten married or split a long time ago. All they did was string each other along and have a child during the process.
Well she has to do this. She's not a wife where she can request half his earnings while together, alimony or stay in a home he provided. This is why you get married and stop giving boyfriend 's the whole dang cow with calf's and all! She walks away requesting attorney fees as her biggest flex wich can easily be denied.
