Ciara is opening up about how she knew her romance with ex-fiancé Future wasn’t meant to be.
“When you know you’re supposed to make a super-defined decision in your life, you know it from, like, the head to your feet and your soul and your body, you know it,” Ciara, 37, said during the Wednesday, October 4, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “It’s almost like your tastebuds change … You gotta look in the mirror and reflect too, like, ‘What are things I could be doing differently in my life?’ or ‘I’m looking for a change, but what does that mean?’”
“When you have a child, it’s very important to me, like now it’s no time to play around. The whole like, experimentation kind of phase is out the door,” she added. “I am now responsible for another life. So what am I doing? How am I thinking that through? And when you’re tired, you’re tired. We get tired and we don’t want to be tired all the time. I’m like, ‘I want joy. I want to make sure my cup is full.’”

If I were Ciara, whenever an interviewer would ask questions about her ex, I would just say we do the best that we can as our son's parents and we try to work together on his behalf. She should never publicly discuss that past relationship and especially because she's moved on, now married and has additional children with her husband. Leave that past relationship right where it is and focus on parenting. Anything else gives an appearance that she's stuck thinking about her ex.

The internet is more protective of Future than his mother is. Ciara can speak on her experiences both past and present without wanting to go back to community drug addict peen. Truth be told, Ciara has said far less than Future in the decade since they broke up. Future got a line about Russell on every album and nobody says that negro is giving obsessed with old cat.
That’s why you become friends first for many many years before you are committed to each other for forever. Just cause his name was future doesn’t mean he was meant to be with. 🙄

why is she still talking about her past with Future? Move around. Stop talking about him. Stop asking her about him. Russell... tell you wife to stop answering questions about past Future. It's starting to look like she has nothing else to talk about.
Dee, if you look at the interviews, she rarely talks about him, only responds when people ask. Future is the one who is butt hurt and crying to whoever whenever Ciara is brought up. It's almost like he misses her and knows he messed up 🤣

It can help others who feel confused thinking they need to stay because of the child. As she said, your taste buds change. You get tired. And yes, it does feel like an experiment, in the sense of ‘Is this what I really want in life?’
I felt everything she said. Some people will be quick to judge but revealing what it was that made her decide to leave is probably helpful to someone else, man or woman. No, she didn’t have to answer that question but she did. I see a lot women/men settling and staying in toxic relationships.
