HER career took a massive hit after three of her former dancers went public with a damaging lawsuit accusing her of fat shaming and sexual harassment.
Now Lizzo is preparing to bite back.
Following the bombshell in July, which included allegations of religious and racial harassment, Lizzo put out a statement detailing her upset over the claims levelled against her.
Behind the scenes, a number of approaches have been made to her team about putting her side of the story.
I have been told that when the time is right, the US singer wants to do a high-profile television interview.
A source said: “Lizzo was privately inundated with support from people who knew her when the lawsuit was made public.
“It has been an incredibly tough time for her and she has taken a huge hit to her reputation.
"She has had a number of people interested in a sit down interview but it is an offer from (US TV personality) Gayle King that appears to be the bid she will consider.
“There is obviously still a lot going on legally and Lizzo is being guided by her team as to what would be the best course of action to take.”
Since the lawsuit from her former dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez was made public, Lizzo has carried on defiantly.

Has she not seen the aftermath? Doing a King interview is tantamount to admitting guilt. Who is advising this? OMG. Go to trial and or pay these fat ho3s 0ff
She'll be lucky to get a word in when she's talking to Gayle.
This will not clear her name. Confronting the allegations directly instead of using the “I am a good person” defense will clear her name. All she’s said so far is “you know I wouldn’t do that”.
Remember when R. Kelly tried this same interview with Gayle. This should be another instant classic!

Gayle hasn’t learned anything yet from her interview with Lisa Leslie. People went in on her and she still hasn’t learned. I wish you luck Lizzo but stop harassing people
Lizzo has kept quiet up to this point and she should continue to do so.
I don't know if Lizzo is guilty or innocent but Gayle?? The groupie? Don't do it Lizzo! She would do better with Robin Roberts, who is objective, yet a professional interviewer. Maybe even do an interview with Hoda, who was great with Jada but please not Gayle. She'll be all over the place and stumbling over her notes just to prove she's paying attention. Gayle will look for gotcha moments just to go viral.

Jennifer Hudson should interview Lizzo. Jennifer is closer to Lizzo's age and Jennifer has experience as a performer. I think all those morning news people (Robins, Gayle, Hoda) are too old to interview/judge Lizzo.
Sometimes you people sound dense. Jennifer is not a journalist. It takes skill to know when to interrupt and what the next question should be.
Gayle and Oprah only cheer for their friends in their clique. Every other black person they don’t care about, rich or poor. Gayle is a bad choice Lizzo, you better find somebody else. Wendy in rehab still a better choice than Oprah and her man Gayle. 💯

No to Jennifer Hudson! Have you watched her show? It's dull and she's boring. And her interview style is stand offish. She's not engaging and she doesn't ask any real questions. She just flutters and bugs her eyes, while acting surprised over every response from her guest. Lizzo should go on The View if she wants to redeem herself. That show appeals to the housewives & mothers and if Lizzo can win them over, it's smooth sailing after that.
But with everything going on why is Lizzo channeling Tupac? West side signs?
