HER career took a massive hit after three of her former dancers went public with a damaging lawsuit accusing her of fat shaming and sexual harassment.
Now Lizzo is preparing to bite back.
Following the bombshell in July, which included allegations of religious and racial harassment, Lizzo put out a statement detailing her upset over the claims levelled against her.
Behind the scenes, a number of approaches have been made to her team about putting her side of the story.
I have been told that when the time is right, the US singer wants to do a high-profile television interview.
A source said: “Lizzo was privately inundated with support from people who knew her when the lawsuit was made public.
“It has been an incredibly tough time for her and she has taken a huge hit to her reputation.
"She has had a number of people interested in a sit down interview but it is an offer from (US TV personality) Gayle King that appears to be the bid she will consider.
“There is obviously still a lot going on legally and Lizzo is being guided by her team as to what would be the best course of action to take.”
Since the lawsuit from her former dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez was made public, Lizzo has carried on defiantly.
