Mayte Garcia Producing Prince Biopic

Mayte Garcia, the ex-wife of the late rocker Prince, is producing a film based on her biography "The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince..."

The bestselling book “The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince” is getting the big-screen treatment. Crazy Legs Features has inked a deal to turn the New York Times bestseller from the late musician’s first wife – Mayte Garcia – into a feature biopic.
The book, released in early 2017, offers a look at the influential rock star through his and Garcia’s relationship. She met Prince in 1990 at the age of 16 when he was 32. Following a four-year courtship, during which time Prince became the then-17-year-old’s legal guardian, they married in 1996. Tragically, their son, born Oct. 16, 1996, died six days later from Pfeiffer syndrome type 2. She later told People Magazine that it [understandably] doomed their marriage, which ended in 2000.
The memoir is titled after the song “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World” which Prince wrote about her in 1994. The book chronicles how their relationship began backstage at a concert and developed into an artistic friendship and a romance. It thus offers an unusually intimate and personal look at the famously private artist who helped shape pop culture.

I read that book. It was a good read. It was kind of cringy in some parts. It seems like her parents were ok with her being exploited as a child belly dancer.

The 'legal guardian' situation is cringeworthy.

Prince would have not signed on to this

Whyyyyyyy????? We didn’t ask for this.Prince cut her and mama off and never looked back. So let’s keep that door closed. He called Vanity when she died the baddest woman on earth, and did a tribute to her. That’s the only love story I wish for me, that I wish could have known more about but now they both are gone so that’s not going to happen. Vanity/Denise did a book, while Prince was ALIVE, but she NEVER threw Prince under the bus and he respected her for that and showed her respect and honor when she died.

I don’t care anything about this relationship. Most fans agree, Her parents saw a rich man, and sold her off, and then all of them moved in with him, (like Jezzy and Jeannie) she miscarried and then after that took a child to term that unfortunately couldn’t survive, (I am sad and sorry about that), she couldn’t get pass the loss, and he was like the hell with this drama and your mama, I’m a rock star, and divorced her. End of story. It’s in the book, we don’t need a film💯

A sixteen year difference while she's a minor plus legal guardianship has RKelly vibes to it but Prince gets a pass because ...

What happened to the young lady that he was dating when he died? She looked a lot different than the other women that he dated.

Women who look like her don’t age well.

Watch them pick an African to play Prince that won’t look, sound nor act like Prince.
