Young Jeezy Files to Enforce Prenup

Three months ago rapper Young Jeezy filed for divorce from his wife Jeannie Mai after two years of marriage and one child together [click here if you missed that].

Now Jeezy is making sure the prenup in enforced...

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai‘s tumultuous divorce has taken a new turn as the rapper has filed a motion to enforce their prenuptial agreement.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Jeezy wants the judge to incorporate all of the terms and provisions of the prenup into the final judgment of divorce.
The “Put On” rapper shockingly filed for divorce from Mai in September after two years of marriage, and both parties have been going back and forth about the terms of their split.
In the filing, Jeezy explained that he and Mai signed their prenup on March 26, 2021, a day before they walked down the aisle. According to him, the prenuptial agreement meets the requirements for enforcement under the three-prong test often called the Scherer test.
Usually, the three-prong test asks cogent questions to determine the validity of the prenup. It asks whether the “agreement was obtained through fraud, duress or mistake, or through misrepresentation or nondisclosure of material facts?” Or if the agreement is unconscionable?”
It also wonders “Have the facts and circumstances changed since the agreement was executed so as to make its enforcement unfair and unreasonable?”
In the document, Jeezy argued that the prenuptial agreement met the above-mentioned standards. “There is no question that both parties were capable of reading and understanding the terms and provisions of the Agreement,” it read. “Both parties are public figures who are no strangers to a contract.”
He added, “Similarly, it is indisputable that the Prenuptial Agreement was not obtained through mistake, misrepresentation or nondisclosure of material facts. Specifically, both parties were vigorously represented by independent counsel in the negotiations.”
Jeezy noted that he and “The Real” co-host cohabited for about a year before getting married and “disclosed all relevant financial information to the other of their respective assets, liabilities, and overall financial net worth” during the period.
As for Mai’s claim that the prenuptial agreement is unconscionable, the “I Luv It” rapper argued that “while Petitioner’s net worth may have exceeded that of Respondent at the time of the execution of the Agreement, the fact that an agreement may perpetuate an existing disparity of wealth between the parties does not render it unconscionable.”
Usually, a prenuptial agreement is deemed unconscionable if it is “abhorrent to good morals and conscience . . . where one of the parties takes fraudulent advantage of another [,] an agreement that no sane person not acting under a delusion would make and that no honest person would take advantage of.”
Bottom line, Jeezy argues they both knew what they were doing and understood they would be keeping their own money.

You abandoned your wife and child. Now you will be a part time dad. So the least you can do is break her off because now she has to fill both roles or find her a new pappy. Every other weekend doesn't make you a dad.

Lol , stop counting another man's pockets , lol.
The prenup is there for a reason .
File for joint custody and keep it moving.

How is she trying to invalidate the prenup when they've been married less than three years? Did his net worth triple in that time? And even if it did, I don't think she's entitled to his money if she didn't help him make it. But I see what's going on here. She's trynna hit those pockets and get what all the other baby mamas didn't get -- alimony and spousal support. Nice try but I hope she fails. They both had careers before they hooked up and both still making money. She didn't lose anything and her lifestyle didn't change one bit other than having his baby, which women do every day. If he doesn't get 50/50 custody the only thing he's responsible for is that child's financial needs. She always acted like she wanted to be a Black woman (only better) but I bet in a million years she never thought she'd find out the hard way.

This man has a track record of creating broken homes. Not sure why she thought he was a changed man.

Women need to leave men who create multiple broken homes alone. The red flags are there. It’s your fault as a women if you choose to ignore them!

He's short too. Sat across from him at an award show. Never saw what other women saw on him. Short and barely cute.
