A New York jury on Friday ordered former President Donald Trump to pay a total of $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll for ruining her credibility as an advice columnist when he called her a liar after she accused him of sexual assault.
The jury awarded Carroll $65 million in punitive damages, $11 million for the damage to her reputation and another $7.3 million. Trump is almost certain to appeal the verdict.
Despite the size of the penalty, the verdict was not unexpected. Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled even before the trial that Trump had in fact defamed Carroll. The jury only had to decide how much Trump owed her — not if he was liable. This is the second time Trump has been ordered pay Carroll; last year he was mandated by a jury to pay $5 million for a separate instance of defamation.

Wow! And this is who people want as their president? I know Biden is crappy but I don’t want another 4 years of either clown. These parties need to step their game up and find REAL leaders. If these old men is all you can see as viable candidates we are in a whole heap of trouble with more corruption to come. Geesh!!
I don't think she will get paid. He could file an apral that can last a long time before judge looks at it. He could hide money. I mean he is kiniving. I will be shocked if she gets paid. He has top attorneys in higher places that can help him hide money
Too many celebs/public figures getting off by not paying their lawsuits. Trump, DaBrat, The Game, Tearra Marie, Flo Rida, Tasha K. They need to serve time in jail until that money is paid. Period!

@8:26 In order to file an appeal Trump must post an $83M cash bond. He ain't got it. His supporters will donate to keep him from be bankrupted by all the legal expenses. They'll be in the dark but he'll be alright.
