COUNTRY star Darius Rucker is set to release a memoir that will dive into the details of his life and career after recently being arrested.
The memoir is called Life’s Too Short and will be released on May 28 with publisher Dey Street Books.
Rucker’s fame started with Hootie & the Blowfish which he was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of.
Hootie & the Blowfish started in 1986 and was made up of Rucker and three of his classmates from the University of South Carolina.
The band was extremely successful and sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.
The three-time Grammys winner said when he recalls his past, he is reminded of musical memories even through the hard times.
"If I look back at my life and try to see into my past, everything seems blurry," Rucker told People.
"But then I lean in and start to hear something. Melodies. Chords. Harmonies. Lyrics."
Rucker was raised by just his mom in Charleston and said there were points in his life where he was satisfied with simplicity.
However, his fame did lead him to be nominated for tons of awards including Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, and more.
